Bewley!!!!!! If teams had took a chance on him, like Belle Vue, then he should & would have been doubling. Now, saddled with a 9.5-10 average, I would think we will never see him again in the CL but we do have Cook who shouldn't be there, losing about 10-14 points in 55 odd races & unbeaten around Glasgow, even by team mates, riding 30+ 1st places.

Where has this been said as it is not strictly true. "Tried" is the word used on the Bears website & it is yearbyred's opinion on here. Until we know the truth, if it comes out, then we can only surmise with our opinions. Available dates & rider availability might be at a premium. Two sides to every story though.

We have suffered, also, this last couple of years with rider unavailability, injured or otherwise, with inadequate cover but took it on the chin. Scunthorpe & Redcar race on Fridays & there isn't a Friday spare until September where both teams are not riding. You raced the other week on a Tuesday, before signing Riss, & he rides in Sweden on a Tuesday so it will be interesting to hear or see the full explanation as have just seen snippets of team news on the Redcar website. The result is still in doubt as you have 2 riders that have hit top form & could easily score 25-30 points between them(depending on the no of rides taken & circumstances) so the others do not have to do much. We have riders that are suffering with away form so I think a tight result is expected.

They knew when they signed Riss that he would have other commitments which would take priority. Why do you not think it is the clubs fault?

Swindon have signed Vissing as cover for Stefan as it will be around another 2 weeks before he might be ready to ride again.

The Updates site nearly always uses home texter's so 80-90% time will be a biased opinion but that is what they are on here so people say it as they see it. Ostergaard now a done deal but sods law he scores 11 in his last meeting for Redcar, then sacked & now Bukhave has his best meeting & moved on. Both deals were done before the sackings though. as need to give 3 days for checks to be made before the announcements. Good on both riders for still trying their best.

mmmmm, not too sure about that as since 23rd June(the cut off point) Jake has scored 25 from 14(less than an 8 average & Josh has scored 26 from 13(which is an 8 average) but it depends on the scores being dropped. 0.48 is a lot to make up to overtake Josh.

Not a lot of choices out there with 3 meetings on. R/R best option as anyone can take a ride.

Josh has done it before & it was only last year BUT he wasn't our no1 until the end of the season, mainly riding at no5 which is his best position. I did not think that Josh would replicate his form of last year to this & I fully expected Jake to have kicked on to be our no 1. Grobauer is becoming a pain in the ar$e against us. 8 from 4 at the EWR & now another 11 means he has probably score more points against us than he has all season.

He is not. Torn knee ligaments means r/r & probably out for a while. Deja vu from last year, just gets a PL berth & gets injured. We managed it ok the other week at home v Sheffield & only seen a picture of Howarth's tyre shredded. Not heard any complaints from the other riders on show that night.

Which was a surprise to see TJ take the guest ride as he is not a fan of slick tracks, struggling to get set ups. Although his trademark is fast starting, even that has not been evident this year.

With the enforced break for our riders due to the bad weather, most have been out & about getting extra rides. Jake, Stefan & Simon were at Sheffield Sunday. Ben rode Friday at Plymouth &, I think was in Germany at the weekend. Danny & Ryan were at Mildenhall Sunday & Stefan & Jake last night(with Stefan now getting a PL berth at Swindon). More rides brings more risks but I think most riders will take the extra rides when they come along. We have got a meeting on Wednesday to get through as well.

Just seen on the Sheffield v Somerset thread that 2 of our walking wounded are riding tomorrow.

I live in Scunthorpe & 4 miles from the track. Sometimes it rains at the track & nothing here & vice versa so is anyone posting that is near to the track. It is off anyway but others have asked the question so just following the trend after being in the sun at 54C(garden thermometer) around 3-4pm. It gives our injured riders a bit more time to recuperate.

Simon Lambert at Kings Lynn. Bellego at Swindon & Palovaara at Edinburgh but they are both injury replacements (at the moment) so probably given permission.

That was a rumour we heard at Scunthorpe last night as we needed 2 guests for tonight at Berwick then had to choose 2 more as our other choice, Wallinger, was injured in the Plymouth meeting.
