Who will win the World Cup??
Crazy Munchie replied to Vincent Vega's topic in Speedway Grand Prix and Speedway World Cup
I don't fancy the czechs to be that much of a threat but I do expect them to beat a few of the top riders from other nations and I think that will come from the Drymls. As for the Poles, they may be a bit dodgy at eastie, but they don't have to set the world on fire there. All they have to do is finish ahead of Hungary and no disrespect but I can't see that being a problem. Then when it gets to Poole it's a different story, the Poles are much better round Poole and I think that Gollob will get good back up from everyone, Hampel and Protasiewicz in particular. Greg Walasek has a definite liking for the Poole track and Kolodziej will come of age. They wont have any trouble going to the final and they might not win but they'll definitely be there or there abouts pushing for top spot. -
World U21 Semi Final draw
Crazy Munchie replied to tomazpozrl's topic in International World of Speedway
Yes I know Swiderski also rides for Wroclaw but I wouldn't say he is at the same standard as Miskowiak and is a long way behind the likes of Kolodziej, Zagar and Lindback, so I just this Miskowiak will make better use of the track advantage. As for a Dane complaining about the Poles and Home track advantage, well take a look at yourselves, you're the wolds best at preparing the track to suit yourselves. The Danish GP this year is a perfect example, funny how for the first few heats the outside gates were brilliant...oh and who was is theose gates....oh yeah, the Danes. As soon as the main event started suddenly the inside gates started working better and suprise, suprise, the Danes were on the inside. Personaly I think that the final will be between Zagar and Kolodziej, and if Antonio has a good day he could be in with a shout too. If Antonio can't win then I'll be routing for Matej as I think he's a fantastic rider and a potential world champion. I followed him when he rode for Trelawny and now he's at Reading I make regular trips to see him. Plus this year is his last chance in this competition, so it would be nice if he could go out with a win. -
Who will win the World Cup??
Crazy Munchie replied to Vincent Vega's topic in Speedway Grand Prix and Speedway World Cup
1. Sweden ( Rickardsson, Lindback, Max, Jonsson, P.Karlsson - too strong ) 2. Poland (never count them out) 3. Denmark ( Young pretenders - will probably blow up with the pressure and exclusions galore ) 4. Australia (over rated - Crump undoubted talent and at present best in World but although Adams and Sullivan will provide back up they're a 3 man team) -
Britians Chances?
Crazy Munchie replied to David_Furniture's topic in Speedway Grand Prix and Speedway World Cup
I still think that Sweden and Denmark will go straight to the final, with Australia and Poland coming through the race off at Poole. If Poland mess up then GB are in with a chance but with Gollob, Hampel and Protasiewicz I can't see them messing up. Then of course with The Dryml brothers also in the meeting they could spoil the GB party even more. Result of the Final..... 1. Sweden 2. Poland 3. Denmark -
Britians Chances?
Crazy Munchie replied to David_Furniture's topic in Speedway Grand Prix and Speedway World Cup
With the likes of Nicholls, Loram and Norris we have three top class riders. After that we're struggling although nicknote Richardson can be good on his day. Unfortunately whereas we have 3, maybe 4 good riders other teams like Sweden, Denmark and Poland have 5 World class riders and then squad members who on there days could match any of our boys. Then of course there's always the Aussies with Crump, Adams and Sullivan and although I don't think they'll win, it will probably be them who puts the final nail in the British coffin. We'll struggle to make the final. Sweden will will retain their title. -

World U21 Semi Final draw
Crazy Munchie replied to tomazpozrl's topic in International World of Speedway
I think the final will be a little more open than you might think. Of course Kenneth will be up there, but then you've got Lindback and Lindgren who can beat anyone one there day. Matej Zagar, Krys Kasprzak, Janusz Koldziej and Piotr Swiderski wil be tough to beat. Then of course you have Robet Miskowiak who I'd make favourite considering the final is in Wroclaw...his home track. -

Tony Rickardsson's knock
Crazy Munchie replied to Papa Bazarou's topic in Speedway Grand Prix and Speedway World Cup
personally I think you're reading a little too much into the whole hair loss thing. If you look at they way Tony managed to get up after his crash and still go out and ride, I think he's still very fit and healthy. Tony has alsways kept up very high standards of fitness and I'm sure this year is the same as ever. He's experimenting and having some bad luck at the same time but the thing to remember is that the man is a five time world champion. He knows what it takes to be the best and I really don't think that with two young children he would risk anything at all with his health. If he did have a problem I'm sure he wouldn't hesitate to pack in speedway completely so that he could concentrate on his children. After all he's been there, done it, won everything there is and is constantly wearing the t-shirt. -
I think you're being a little harsh on Andreas, Steve. The guy broke his back when he was just 18 years old and then won the world under 21 championship in his comeback year. He's an obvious natural talent and will be the person to succeed Tony in the World championship. He's had a lot of bad luck with injury but if he can string a few years together without serious injury he'll be up there as world champion.
