    Wembley 100 years

Wembley is a far more attractive venue than Cardiff, therefore for that reason alone it'll attract a healthier crowd. Also, London and the surrounding areas are far more heavily populated than Cardiff which again would draw in more people both including both current speedway fans and curious first timers. Wembley is still at Wembley but the twin towers are no more. I think it's a bit more than a publicity thing, but still very unlikely. It's just really good to read something positive about our dying sport. Oh and the London stadium has a capacity of 80,000 so not much different to Wembley, however the difference is, is that speedway at Wembley was once iconic. There's been no mention of speedway at all by the London Stadium and I doubt it ever will mention it.

It clearly states that Wembley are looking for more events and speedway is a possibility...how is that a spin?

    Wembley 100 years

Not really sure why you're laughing at the above posts. Did you ever go to the old Wembley when speedway was held there? It was incredible compared to what we now have at Cardiff. My memories of the 1978 World final (Ole, Ole, Ole, oi, oi oi!), standing on a stool so I could see the action, are still very clear to me. Blows Cardiff away. I for one would love it to return to the 'new' Wembley which is far more accessible than Cardiff is for those of us in the south. And what's Peter Oake's got to do with things???

Poole vs Plymouth BSN series 19/04/23

    A highly impossible task

Poole vs Plymouth BSN series 19/04/23

Are we the only club that does this? I wouldn't have thought so personally, therefore is it really that much of an advantage? All 4 gates are ripped up equally therefore all 4 riders have the very same equal 'advantage'.

Poole vs Plymouth BSN series 19/04/23

We can all live in hope! It could be made larger/longer not just wider taking/using the dog track. Just imagine a track in Poole that could rival the National Speedway Stadium in the UK and the continental tracks. Awesome dream

    POOLE 2023

I don't disagree, however I don't think speedway will ever return here. So no Poole Pirates, or a Poole Pirates relocation? It'll probably never happen, but surely a relocation would be far more favourable than Poole being lost? Just sayin'

    POOLE 2023

Why not? We used to have a speedway track and moderately successful team back in the day! We have supported and travelled to Poole every season for over 40 years, so why would it be such an issue should Poole relocate?

  18. I don't use instagram. I genuinely didn't mean anything at all, was just a silly thoughtless comment. I should have thought more fully, I'm a plonker!
  19. Seriously? I have apologised sincerely for a poor error of judgement and have removed the silly comment. Show Ben this too so he can see that I am sincere. Thank you.
  20. Have edited. No offence was meant to anyone. As I say above, a thoughtless turn of phrase for which I apologise.
  21. Have edited as I certainly didn't mean to cause any offence. Was just a thoughtless turn of phrase, so apologies to all especially Ben.

    Why does everybody hate Poole?

...and again... Break time at school is it?
  23. Poole can only race (beat) what's put out in front of them. WTF has it got to do with DF if Plymouth can't put together a decent team? They should've replaced Kennett at the start of the season but have used a loophole to use R/R all year and now that's come back and bitten them on the 'arris! They would've (injuries permitting) had a decent No. 1 riding tonight if they'd replaced EK. They'd also have Ben Barker if he was available. Only got themselves to blame I'm afraid... EDIT: My apologies to all and especially to Ben for my poor choice of original words . I didn't mean anything, just posted very poor wording without thinking.
