As always the usual suspects post a lot of cobblers on here just because Poole lost. In the grand scheme of things it's not that dramatic so feel free to enjoy your moment. Our playoff spot is pretty much in the bag now (unlike BV's) and I for one am not overly concerned about who we meet as over 2 legs I fancy us to beat whoever we face. When we click as a team, we're unbeatable (like last Weds) but when we don't we get beat. It's that simple. I have been pretty strong in my views about us not needing any changes and at home I still feel that's the case, it's our away form that concerns me - especially at the smaller tracks. And as for some of the names being posted on here...THJ but Pawlicki or Little Leon

Exactly what I saw. I was amazed Kyle got excluded, but was equally amazed that Charles Wright got up after hitting the air fence as hard and fast as he did!! Tough cookies these speedway riders and full respect to each and every one of 'em. p.s. Kyle got his own back in heat 12 As for the meeting itself, thoroughly enjoyable. Highlights for me were Noddy looking just like his old self, very fast all night and Magic was untouchable once again. And I'm sure all the Gomolski haters are eating some humble pie today too! Not quite sure why he was celebrating after pulling a third in heat 14 though... As for Darcy, he too looked fast but just wasn't as quick as our top two and Hans managed to pull things together for his last two rides. All in all a damn good nights racing with a huge crowd!

Nah, Darcy is Poole though and through However the AGM might change things I guess....

A quick shout out to all those Swindon fans claiming that Ward will ride for them in 2016...both Matt Ford and Darcy himself have issued a number of press releases clearly stating that Darcy will be a Pirate in 2016 and a for very long time to come - UNLESS Darcy ups his average to a ridiculous level (as stated by MF this week). Does anybody really think that will happen?

Speedway would NOT be better without riders like Darcy (what fool would suggest such a thing?), however it WOULD be better off without the off track antics of Darcy. Two completely different things.

You seem to have ignored this statement I made above fb, I'm sure MF is (like all other promoters) constantly monitor things as soon as the season starts until the last wheel is turned in Sept/Oct. If changes were required then the recent Darcy situation gave MF an ideal opportunity to do so, however he didn't as he didn't want to break up the team. Therefore what's changed in the last week or two? Not a lot. Therefore methinks he's just doing his job to keep all the team on their toes. How would one change make us stronger? If Gomolski goes, who is better (and available and wants to ride in the UK) on the same average? If Dak or Watt go, ditto? Please don't just keep on mentioning Pawlicki as he clearly doesn't have a desire to ride in the UK at present. Personally I feel he will stick with the current line up and only make a change during the play offs, however would it be a change for changes sake by that stage? You never know MF though, he is the master of masterstrokes. Whatever happens in the coming weeks I will support every rider every time they turn out in the Pirates colours

I agree with starman (shock, horror! Lol). MF has said absolutely nothing about any definite plans for team changes and he hasn't given any hints whatsoever about who may get the chop. Gater1 you're spouting nonsense yet again...MF agrees with you does he? Why oh why do you make such ridiculous statements? The current team is doing us proud and the evidence speaks for itself as has been well documented on previous posts.

Not all of us want changes to the team that get us to the playoffs!! But I do agree that your philosophy is regrettably spot on. "Thank you 'rider A' for all your hard work during the past 7 months however I'm now dumping you for 'rider B' who makes us stronger for the playoffs! You were good enough to get us here but not for the final push." That unfortunately is the way it goes year after year.

If Pawlicki wanted to ride in the UK and Matt Ford was prepared to pay his demands why did we sign Dak instead?? I'm not even going to comment on Buzz! And just about everyone felt at the start of the season that Dak and Watt were always going to be the risks, however look at where we are...

It's all very well saying changes may need to be made, however nobody is suggesting alternative riders who are better than we already have. There's no point in changing things for changes sake and unsettling a very obvious happy bunch of riders. The current 1-7 has got us to the top end of the EL and we're still one of the favourites to lift the trophy come Sept/Oct so I don't see what the issue is. I agree in an ideal world Gomolski would be scoring 7 or 8+ per meeting, however at the current stage of his career he's just not capable of doing so but he IS doing what was expected of him at the start of the season. So give the guy some slack. We've already beaten Coventry quite convincingly this season (the team you're all saying is stronger than us) so what's with the panic stations??

I clearly said there will be no changes NOW, not, not at all. I followed it by saying I can't see MF making any changes until the playoffs when he may pull off a masterstroke. There is nothing contradictory about that and in fact it just reinforces the first statement. You are a troll...and plenty of other posters have stated as much on this thread and others.
