Looking Like Poole V Bv..
colin wood replied to Bald Bloke's topic in SGB Premiership Speedway League
Watching the match back on TV there was a big glass fronted stand on the back straight is this open for speedway fans and what are the plans to redevelop the stadium? -
Poole V Wolverhampton. El Playoff Semi Final 1st Leg 21/9/16
colin wood replied to Steve Shovlar's topic in SGB Premiership Speedway League
Is this the same Hans Andersen you called a journeyman not long ago.Lindback is way better. The key to the match IMO is how Tai rides,Wolves need a big score from him and the rest to all chip in .49 -41 to Poole -

Starry even Poole couldn't buy 90 points on aggregate ha ha -
Rather face Lindback than track specialist Tungate at BV to be honest but agree riders should have to have raced so many domestic league matches to qualify for play offs.It would stop all this nonsense.Wolves started it with Woffy and Poole are only doing the same.

The sad thing is some fans will think they are worthy winners if they triumph in the play offs.Got to be a rule brought out that you have to have ridden so many league matches in order to qualify to ride in the play offs.

Belle Vue - Swindon 14. 9. 16

The end of season play offs get big crowds but do they make up for lower crowds in the build up to the play offs is debatable. -

Kings Lynn V Poole Elb 13/09/16
colin wood replied to Steve Shovlar's topic in SGB Premiership Speedway League
Belle Vue 3 Poole 1 up to now in matches between the two sides.Awaiting excuses from the usual suspects.Poole have generally been poor away this season.Aces have five British riders in their side and for that reason alone I hope they win the play offs. -
Congratulations Belle Vue - League Champions

Haven't got any stats but out of interest how many times have the team that topped the league gone on to win the play offs? -
Belle Vue V Poole Elb 12/09/16 Sky Meeting
colin wood replied to Steve Shovlar's topic in SGB Premiership Speedway League
If you count last wed v Leicester and the Colts match on Fri its four home meetings in a week at BV ,ridiculous really when some weeks in summer we had none. -

Starman if you think the EL racing at Poole is better than at the NSS then you are deluded. The Aces v Leicester match was much better than what I watched last night at Poole. Every match at Belle Vue this year has been good and all riders seem to love riding there. Not having a dig as I like watching speedway on bigger tracks but I think the racing at the NSS is better. -

Lambert was brilliant at the NSS recently perhaps it is the Poole track he doesn't like.As for the match I can honestly say I've seen better national league racing at Belle Vue than that last night. -

It must be the track they all rode great at Belle Vue.Huckenbeck was very good. -
Belle Vue V King's Lynn Wed 24th Aug
colin wood replied to mdmc82's topic in SGB Premiership Speedway League
Maybe crowds are down due to the shambles Elite League speedway is now.Nearly every match has riders missing some for no other reason that they can't be bothered.Jonsson upset stomach Zagar neck burn Iverson too busy ,the list is endless. Then we get complete miss matches like Poole last night not exactly riveting entertainment is it.The racing at the NSS has been great this year but to get the crowd level up the overall product needs sorting out.The play offs are going to be decided by which club can sign riders for maybe 2 matches another farce which is why speedway isn't taken seriously imo -

How many matches as Max Fricke actually raced for BV at the NSS? It must be only half of them. -
Agree absolutely with the post from Voice of Reason.Time for a big shake up IMO.

Belle Vue -v- Swindon 19th August
colin wood replied to Phil The Ace's topic in SGB Premiership Speedway League
Fred when you say there was little doubt the meeting would go ahead I think after 8 hrs of non stop rain heavy rain then there is a doubt.I missed my first match this season because I thought it would (a) get called off late or ( have to wait about 45mins after start time while they scraped the wet shale off like the Leicester match. The track has got good drainage but there is a limit.Trying to run the meeting was the wrong call it was always going to be worse conditions to the Leicester match and keeping fans hanging about is wrong. -
Belle Vue -v- Swindon 19th August
colin wood replied to Phil The Ace's topic in SGB Premiership Speedway League
Did not go tonight I never thought it would be on.It rained all day and the sensible thing would have been an early call off. However the track was bladed prior to the Leicester match and despite similar weather I think Zagar equalled the track record. The track has got great drainage but sometimes you have to make sensible decisions especially regarding travelling fans. -
What a strange thing to say the other riders haven't quit because they have no world titles and are not world class.Maybe they take great pride in riding for their country.

The problem is we don't know what Tai is asking for. What exactly is his 5year plan? Its all got to be made public before we can judge who's at fault.

Seems like Matt has stuffed up with fixtures this year no meetings at home for a month and now this someone have a go at him! -
Kylmakorpi wasn't the only rider who was rubbish for Wolves were they all not trying? They lost to a better team on the night and the victory wasn't gifted to BV.
