03/02/2010: PL FOURS GOES ‘HOME’ THE BSPA have confirmed the venues for all of this year’s Super7even series. Four of the seven will move to new host tracks in 2010, with the Premier League Fours returning to its once traditional home at Peterborough. Wolverhampton will stage the British Final, Ipswich’s reshaped Foxhall circuit will be the venue for the EL Pairs, whilst Coventry will host the revamped Elite Riders’ Championship. Having been asked by friends to look into a trip to the Croatian GP, I thought folk might like to know that I am organising a coach transfer to the GP from 3 airports in the vicinity. I am hopeful that the coach would cost no more than £50 per person based on costs from previous trips I have organised and based on the coach being 75% full. Not only that but if people require a hotel then please feel free to contact me as I am currently negoitating a deal with a hotel near to Zagreb. Details as follows. Thursday 26th August Coach pick up from Trieste airport in Italy at 1700 hrs. Coach pick up from Ljubliana airport in Slovenia at 1900 hrs Arrival at Hotel at 2000 hrs Friday 27th August Coach pick up at Zagreb airport at 1130 hrs Arrival at Hotel at 1200 hrs Saturday 28th August Depart for GP at Gorican at 1500 hrs Return to Hotel after SGP. Maybe there's a contractual obligation for BSI to provide 2 British riders in the series for Sky Sports ???? IMO, the sooner all these 4 nominations are axed in favour of a true qualification system, where the 4 major nations stage a qualifier, or a GP Challenge type meeting, a couple of days ahead of the GP the better. That way those in form have an instant shot at GP stardom, whilst the current competitors face an immediate re-qualification should they not be in top 8 at certain cut off point during the season. For me, it's not right that someone like Holder has to now wait 8 months since qualifying for the GPs before starting in one !

It appears that Norway will be racing in the SWC qualifier at Abensberg next year. Sportowefakty suggests that the team could possibly include the non GP racing Rune Holta !

Which they obviously expect the local economy and the staging venue to recoup from visiting supporters. I wonder if thats 300K for just next years round or for the 2011 Race off and Final as well ? BTW, does anyone know the capacity of the refurbished stadium in Gorzow Wlkp? If its a 10,000 seater I'd suggest that 300K is a reasonably acceptable cost based on potential returns

Sportowefakty confirming this morning that Leszno will open the 2010 GPs on 24 April here FIM biannual session starts today and ends on Monday. Not sure when CCP (track commission) meet during this time, but expect 2010 calendars next week.

I suspect he'll get a $500 fine and a ban, although this will be suspended for 12 months or so.

I have checked back over the discrepancy here, namely I have recorded your team as including Nicki Pedersen rather than Jason Crump The reason for this is here The rules rely on SGP riders being nominated along with their SGP number, and in this case you have mistakenly listed "1 JASON CRUMP" Accordingly "1" went into the spreadsheet and you gained Nicki Pedersen rather than Jason Crump. To retrospectively amend this (across 6 SGPs) would gain you an additional 33 points. Given I stress the importance of correctly declaring the SGP rider number in your team declaration I cannot unfortunately allow this amendment. Regards Pete
