Poole 4 Team Tournament
Pollyanna replied to Steve Shovlar's topic in Speedway Testimonials & Individual and Shared Events
Unfortunately bazaar, both Pawlicki and Adrian Gomolski are injured. The latter rode at Poole when Boycie was "replaced" . Looked quite good at home, but was fazed by the small tracks away. -

Danish And Australian Gp 2009
Pollyanna replied to JanusMillard's topic in Speedway Grand Prix and Speedway World Cup
I did read earlier in the year that Ole Olsen had been doing the rounds in Australia. with a view to an Aussie Gp next year. Looks like he has decided on Melbourne then! -
Don't forget that BSI ( or IMG) are paid for contracts with Poland and Sweden to also show all the GPs, in the same way that Sky does. Maybe Denmark shows them as well? So they are not totally dependent on the Sky money only. However, the guys that are BSI are mostly British so naturally would opt for British riders. The other point is, that Cardiff is not only attended by British supporters. Cardiff is full of Poles on the day, plus Swedes, Danes, etc. I can see the day when they would not see Brits as a top priority. The Polish and Swedish Elite Leagues seem far and away superior to us now and Russia is maybe on the horizon. Add to that the number of good Aussies coming through over here as well. Just my thoughts.

England V Australia At Under 23 Level!
Pollyanna replied to Trees's topic in International World of Speedway
I notice that Chris Holder only scored 2 points for his win in Heat 7, while Robert Kseiszak scored 1+1 for coming last in the same heat. Think the updater has made a small mistake, although the updates are very much appreciated. -

Is this on Sky Sports as usual? Can't find it listed on the SS site and not in my TV programmes either! -
I expect Ivan Mauger is disappointed after all his hard work out there!

Chris Holder For Gp
Pollyanna replied to kaybtee's topic in Speedway Grand Prix and Speedway World Cup
I don't think it's a case of "not being good enough", to be honest. He had a nightmare of a qualifier, with two efs and an exclusion, which was deemed unfair by those who were there (and post on here). His other two races he won, but too late then! If he doesn't get a Wild Card for 2009, am sure he will qualify next year for 2010. Chris is still only 20 years old and has time on his side. -

I agree with you, Nobby and we feel exactly the same. Travelled over 200 miles to this. I will also be Emailing the BSPA and asking for our money back straight away. I will also never again bother with one of these super7even events. Not happy that we bought tickets in advance which were supposed to be posted to us. Instead, we received a letter last Saturday to say they couldn't post them and we had to present this letter at the turnstiles. Having never been to Birmingham before, we thought there would be a separate entrance for ticket holders, but no! We had to queue with everyone else - what a fiasco! Take my advice, people and NEVER pay in advance for these events, It's just not worth it! -
But those Kiwis are very fruity, BFD

I had a feeling that both Ipswich and Coventry would be dark horses for this! Well done Ipswich on getting to the semi-final. Congratulations to Coventry on the win . -

I agree. Strange that these riders are" not contractually obliged to ride", as Steve said. I thought they were! If that is the case, I can't understand why Zorro was fined £1000 and banned for 28 days for missing the PLRC last year. Surely, there isn't one rule for EL riders and another for PL riders, because it was the BSPA who banned Zorro. -
