    Potters v Colts - 5/5/18

I ont have anything to do with the Programme in anyway but could have been printed to late to remove it but Marvellous how people are latching on to this were you there Walter or just saying what others are saying, but as you say by Accidently including him in the Programme I suppose the Printer has a set Plate of that Page as is the same week after week. But as I have said Previously Roy was a well respected member of the Loomer Road Staff and through his Charity work has Raised Thousands of Pounds the reason for his MBE does not deserve the comment s by People that do not Know anything about him

I don`t have to tell you but I will it was to tell the Managers that the Riders must watch for the Red Flags not the Red Lights, which by the way were tested before the Meeting started and had worked properly and during the Meeting seeing there was a great deal of Falling they did not Fail until the final heat, and just to clarify another thing whilst on the subject raised on another entry on this page there was an Electrician on site all through the Meeting.

I don`t care what your sarcastic remarks about the Meeting but do not Insult the Memory of Roy Smallwood as he has most Likely done more for Charity than you will ever do he got the MBE for the Thousands of Pounds he raised mainly through his own efforts so don't insult a mans Memory that you know nothing about.

Pray Woofer why should I as Clerk of the Course having held a Licence since 1984 perhaps one of the longest serving one in the Modern era be Reported as The Referee Runs the Meeting not Myself, therefore I did not have any say in the Matter unless asked by the Referee, what the Referee puts or doesn`t put in his Report is up to him but Hey Ho what do I know

Kim Nilsson owed a few bob

I believe that the Rider that is owed should tell his Captain where he is Owed From and when but in my Experience over many Years is that they don`t and some times there is nothing done about it I recall one Rider putting down every single week the details of the Money owed where from and what Date you could have made a Rubber Stamp it went on that long so I don`t know who supposed to look into the non Payment System.

The Captains of Both Teams still have to sign that they have all been paid whilst they have ridden for their own Team or unpaid by other teams when they have been riding away or in Individuals

The announcement that Connor Coles was Rider Replacement was correct it was just coincidental that Connor Coles was in that Race in the Programme when the original Meeting was to take place I was a bit confused when the IOW team manager gave me the info for the change.

  14. You are right there Sparky as you say at Lakeside you had the dust and a Sunday afternoon with the Sun beating down as it was yesterday it was hard to keep it down but the Track was heavily watered on Saturday night and many times during Sunday morning but still to no Avail. The Ref wanted to call it off at Heat 10 , all the Riders were called into the Dressing room and asked what they thought and what they wanted to do, all agreed that they wanted to carry on which we did, till a fall in heat 14 then it was time to call it a day
  15. You have got to admit Cookster you have been the main contender with is it 8 replies on why you don't go or what you think about the situations going on down at the stadium all I was saying the lead was Stoke vs Cradley and it did not reflect the title as the thread was lost on the First page

    Stoke's 5-year Plan

you are right in your assumption that one of the tracks in Europe was designed on the exact Ground plans as Loomer Road it was the one built by Ole Olsen at Vojens In 1974 I was Stadium Manager at Stoke and I was in the office at when Russ Bragg the Owner gave Ole the plans for Stoke as Ole and Mauger both thought it was the best laid out Track and many people over the years have made the same comment Cheers Griffo
  18. Hi Brandon actually withdrew at first with the hand injury and afterwards the Paramedic came and asked me for the withdrawel sheet as brandon had complained afterwards of banging his head so the slight concussion was added after the initial diagnosis as Brandon had only mentioned it later Hope this clears it up Cheers Griffo C.O.Course
  19. Hi he injured his hand and could not hold on to the bike cheers Griffo
  20. It might be fine and windy on saturday its even dry today but on thursday it rained continuous all day, and on friday night there was the fact that in the evening the rain was torrential and it thundered and lightened for a good solid hour continously the track was flooded and no way could it be right regardless of the weather before Sunday as the track would be unsafe, oh and seeing the amount of matches cancelled this week, Stoke is not the only one But Hey oh Griffo
  21. I think you will find that yuo are right in saying that it is a BSPA run meeting and that the Stoke Promotion only get a payment for Rent of stadium Cheers Griffo
  22. Nobody is saying the track was perfect what I was saying was that the tracks the same for both teams, whatever the state, and that on Saturday the Isle road the track and attacked it as well as Stoke did and as a Result the match was good right up to the last heat decider. Where as previosly K.L. didnt and because of it moaned instead of getting on with it Cheers Griffo
