It is a gamble when booking in advance in these areas, and it's perhaps worth checking the nearest Premier Inn, for example, which can be cancelled up to the day in question Only if you are paying full price. If like us, you take the saver offer, which keeps cost down. I have never experienced in a lot of years as a supporter, known, or remember, a speedway meeting give way to a local football match. A rain off I can deal with, cannot be helped, but to move a meeting back one night with less than two weeks notice, especially when the football fixtures have been published before this, beggars belief. It is disappointing for us as it is the start of our holiday, we thought it would be a great start seeing KLS away from home. We do not want to come to Coventry now as the purpose of our visit was for the speedway. I will see if P I will take pity on us and allow us to move to another lodge. here's hoping !!! We were also going to meet up with Gemini whom I have got to know through this forum and who also was travelling back from holiday for this meeting, so that is another disappointment !!!

Young Stars meetings seem to be few and far between though. I hope Lewis Rose doens't read any of this. He may feel very unwanted !!!!

Mr Horton...... I would like to ask you the same question. If it wasn't for the fact that we do not often get the chance to see Kings Lynn away meetings, you probably wouldn't get me banging on about the date change but because it is change because of a football match, that really sticks in my craw.

but isn't it the PROMOTER who changed the date of this meeting therefore enforcing his team to be weaker ???

You also changed your plans so you could be there on the 5th. I reckon there are a lot more supporters from other that Coventry who are unhappy about this change. A rain off I can cope with but this lack of thought is really bugging me !!!! I wonder if the management are more interested in going to the football match ?????

Really hacked off. Have been looking forward to this meeting for months. Hotel booked as we are on holiday, on our way to Cornwall,will lose money if we cancel hotel, plus we chose this meeting as it gave us a break on the long journey to Cornwall and of course a chance to see the stars away from home. Tish tish tish !!!

We will be there on 5th. planned it months ago to coincide with our hols to Cornwall. So if there are only KL supporters there...well that is fine by me...will be cheering our team on to a win. Not interested in football during speedway season.

Hope Lewis and Simon are okay and the diamonds can get themselves sorted out for tomorrows meeting. Could possibly have won at Glasgow with a full team !!! not a bad effort for a 5 man team.

why take to drink automatically because of 'upsetting news'!! many people in everyday life hear upsetting news but do not use it as an excuse to take to alcolhol !!! He new he would be racing so no excuse !!!!

rain forecast and thunder/lightening all around stadium. decision took to get meeting done and dusted and it was just as well as the heavens opened when meeting finished.

It is not about respect for others or 'late comers' that people do not bother to get there on time !!! we travelled 30 + miles and got there on time and still had to queue from A47 as there was such a volume of traffic waiting to get in to the NA due to roadworks/traffic lights just outside that I bet caught many people out that were expecting to be there on time. The main car park was full so it took just a few minutes extra time to park up and join the queue and we were told people were queuing from 6.30 so i doubt it would have ever started on time and to add insult to injury they were taking traffic lights/works away when we left after sitting in car park waiting to get out after meeting due to volume of folk that were at meeting !!!! and we were told that the work had finished prior to the meeting so blame the water company not the supporters !!!!!!! Rant over !!!

not long to wait now. need a speedway fix !!! how is the weather down in norfolk please ? any signs of rain ?

best thing about today was the sunshine. At least it made up for the shambles of the first half. Would have been really dire if it had been cold or dampish. the other consolation was.... we only live an hour away so we were not faced with a long drive home zzzzzzzzzzzzzz

never had a problem at kings lynn or peterborough.

looking forward to seeing some speedway action. been in denial for a week !!! sad to say, I do not have anything pink clothing wise or anything else.....oops !!!

Sadly Mike we could not be there last night. Friday night is a bad night for us.

well we enjoyed it. worth it just to see Robert Lambert. There were some good tussles tonight.

we will be there too to support the Stars riders.

Great win by an all round team tonight. Robert was outstanding, a dream to watch. Well done lads. By the way, we had a straight thru run from Sutterton down A17, very little traffic most of the way and no hold ups at the A17/A47 roundabout. Long may it last !!!!
