  1. Averaging over 11 points a meeting at Shielfield before injury. Been a huge miss.

    Berwick Bandits 2022

A season that looked promising now looks dead and buried, and Poole have yet to come up
  3. Adult admission at Berwick is generally cheaper for stand alone meetings. For NL meetings there’s a considerable difference, £10 compared to £14 for the Cubs. One club north of the Border charges a whopping £20 if you don’t pre book!!
  4. And the penny finally drops. Welcome to the club
  5. Easier on HIS usual visit to watch a race with us on the third bend
  6. Even worse when you consider who is eligible for RR. An off form Theo Pijper, Leon Flint recovering from injury, a 4 point reserve and a guest reserve who’d been out of speedway for ten years before this season and has hardly flattered this time around. Not sure if Ricky Wells qualifies. Unsure if the averages have been updated. Leicester must be licking their lips
  7. Apparently the issue is with the poor WiFi in the area.
  8. You can’t use a bank card at the turnstiles, cash only
  9. Guests can be pretty hit and miss. Take Plymouth for example. Chris Harris scoring 3 points vs Edinburgh yesterday probably cost them the meeting. Berwick have suffered more than most with three riders out injured at one stage. They’ll be two riders down this weekend. Jye Etheridge in particular is a huge loss, only dropping three points in four meetings at home before he was injured in heat 1 against Redcar.
  10. Pretty sure most clubs would opt for their regular 1-7 given the chance. Unfortunately injuries and other factors outside of speedway often don’t allow it.
  11. Leicester using RR tonight. How about they field a full team?
  12. You have absolutely no idea what you’re on about, just here for argument. Guess what, you lost
  13. They attempted something in the second tier in 2006, British reserves stayed at reserve no matter their average during the season. Steve Boxall (Rye House) and Jon Armstrong (Mildenhall) averaged 7 at one stage which some promoters didn’t like, so that idea was dropped mid season
  14. You’re always hopeful, but I have my doubts

    Berwick Bandits 2022

Those are the league averages I worked out for this season alone, not the rolling averages. Don’t know where the 5% comes into it. The figures in brackets are the difference from the season starting average
  16. Very true. No right minded speedway fan would want to see any side go to the wall. I’ve lost my side, it’s a horrible feeling
  17. Newcastle don’t bring many to Berwick. Losing Edinburgh would hurt Berwick more

    Berwick Bandits 2022

I’ve been keeping track of the Bandits league averages. These are not the official rolling averages Up to and including Glasgow (H) 28th May Chris Harris - 9.48 (+1.59) Ricky Wells - 8.31 (+1.72) Jye Etheridge - 8.26 (+2.81) Leon Flint - 7.31 (+1.42) Theo Pijper - 6.73 (+1.22) Ty Proctor - 5.52 (+0.10) Kyle Bickley - 4.70 (+1.19) *edit* Figures in brackets are the difference from the season starting average
  19. From where I was standing on the third bend you could see the track was different where the sun had been on it. The third and fourth bends (in the shade) seemed to catch a few out early on, Cook included. Seemed to settle down after a while. The track was definitely deeper than recent meetings. Seemed to benefit some more that others The main difference was Glasgow being sharper from the traps and rider replacement not working in the home sides favour. Couldn’t been a lot worse if Cook hadn’t had a below par night. Bandits need a fit Jye Etheridge back pronto. He was virtually unbeatable around Shielfield before his injury.
