Too short sighted for that.

I totally agree about the Book Malcolm - it is an EXCELLENT buy. I agree too about the 'Kings Arms' they should be applauded. At least THEY have some sense of History. Used to love watching 'Crumpie', John Jackson, Gary Flood and Dai Evans at Sunderland. Happy Memories!!!

'Entry of the Gladiators' at Sunderland.
-
Thank you very much anyway Rob.
-
Is there anything out there involving Sunderland Rob - we have a limited amount of footage - but not a lot.
-
This is shocking - This could have been a GREAT opportunity for Allied Carpets/Savills (not be buying any carpets from them in the future) to get some publicity along with the Speedway. What harm can there be in wanting a small Memorial of times past. Very best of luck 'Kings' Supporters - hope you are successful in your endeavours.

If it was written by Rod Haynes it should be good - I enjoyed his EXCELLENT contributions to BackTrack.
-
CD received - Thanx very much. Sent you a PM.

Hi Keepturningleft Thank you for your very kind reply - I have sent you a PM.

That would be GREAT KTL, Thank you VERY much.

I must admit, as a Briggo Fan, I would love to hear that programme.

That is why JSH is a ............................................LEGEND.

I disagree in this case Rob. I am a great advocate of 'Freedom of Speech' myself - BUT - thought and consideration should be part of the RIGHT to say what you wish as well. With 'Freedom of Speech' comes the RESPONSIBILITY to try to ensure that no-one is hurt by your remarks. In this case, as I understand it, Andy has not even been Tried yet - whatever happened to the old adage of INNOCENT until PROVEN guilty. Just my thoughts on this issue..........................

Have you a problem with that Wolfsbane. Nothing wrong with Public Schools. -
Give him time, give him time. I am sure that Malcolm will be covering loads of things in future issues.
-
This really is a 'SUPER' Thread - I am learning loads more than I ever knew about European Speedway. I am filled with admiration for some of you guys with your records and everything. Thank you for sharing - it's GREAT.

I could NOT agree more. I have every issue safely stowed away. I look forward with GREAT anticipation to when the next one is due out and wait for it dropping through my Letter Box. This goes for BOTH BackTrack and Classic by the way. I have relived so many memories through these Magazines it is unreal. Tony and Suzie - PLEASE keep up the good work, standard of production and care for your Customers. Thank you for that. As an aside - the BSPA could learn a lot from yourselves about dealing with the public. Regarding the Bruce Penhall Articles - I must say that I have not been impressed with him. I thought his first piece was very lightweight and in his second he comes across, to me, as a very bitter man. Malcolm Simmons however is worth the Cover Price alone for his Articles - I also hope that Rod Haynes reappears - his comments were always worth reading too. If I had to choose between reading Penhall or Haynes - I would go for Haynes EVERY time.

Didn't bother the French at Agincourt.
-
Super footage from West Ham - SO sad though.

After reading the Thread on What's my Line it got my memory banks working. Takes a lot these days believe me. It made me wonder if anyone out there remembers the good old days on the Telly with 'Rawhide', 'Wagon Train' and the 'Cisco Kid' etc...................... I mourn their passing. OR - am I just SAD?
-
I get some good laughs on this Forum - thank you for that. (Sorry about the Smilies)
-
Sadly Ron - I know how you feel.
-
I hope Enid Blyton didn't try naked Speedway. Could be painful.
-
Hey BOBBATH - you must keep this up. I've never enjoyed tripping down memory lane as much. I used to get these Comics as a boy. I also particularly remember 'Matt Braddock'. GREAT STUFF!!
-
Thank you very much BOBBATH - Thanks to your step by step guide I was listening to Western Themes most of last night. BRILLIANT!! I had no idea that you could get them like that. You probably all think I am very sad - but - Oh!! the memories.
