As a pensioner, I would just like to say thankyou, because I had no idea that I was so wealthy.

Just in, from the King’s Lynn website:
King’s Lynn Speedway is delighted to announce that Australian Troy Batchelor will return to the Stars next season as they challenge for Elite League honours.
Batchelor, 28, a previous Australian Champion and ELRC winner, joins Robert Lambert in the Stars top five next season and will fill one of the heat leader positions when tapes go up next March. Team manager Rob Lyon admits that having Batchelor in the team will bring more than just points.
Lyon said: “Troy is, of course, no stranger to me or the club. I am delighted he will be coming back to us next season. He is an accomplished rider that will bring a lot to the team, on and off the track. Troy is a character and I believe we need that, we missed a bit of personality in the team last year especially after Rory’s injury.”
Fantastic news for Swindon!

Is there any news about the Oxford team, or which league they will be in?
-
Collin Goody had almost as many fights as he did races.I remember a race at Swindon once, when he got huge roller, and beat Briggo to the first bend, and as he went past him on the back straight,Briggo booted him on the lower back! Briggo had his moments as a character too!

Great to see you back Steve. Hope all is well, and would be great to see you in the stands at Wimbourne Road once again next season.
You would think that a Poole fan could at least spell Wimborne correctly!

It seems that the best has been saved for last!

It all makes for great viewing!

Not a bad ride by Hancock, considering he can't pass!

I remember Mark Thorpe had a close escape with a tractor at Blunsdon - very lucky!
I remember that. He was heading for the tapes at the time and Crashed into the tractor. That was the last we saw of him!

I think the new track could be very similar to the the Slough one.

Troy Batchelor would be a good signing for Lynn, should improve his average as he is quality around your track.
Yes please!

I remember Pete Munday getting that maximum, and after the meeting he asked if the track could be watered like that every week!Seem to remember Pete Munday scoring a max. against Poole in the wet at Blunsdon late 60s, always good on the wet stuff tough old Pete. Can recall him smacking Anders Michanek in the Blunsdon pits as hundreds rushed over to see what was occurring!
Keener couldn't have scored many maxes for The Robins. The Minety man was a great club servant for many years and smashing bloke. Remember him sustaining an injury as he rode full-on into pits gate and pinged up in the air!

Now they wake up, but it's all too late.

The stadium bosses have cancelled the heat 16 walk for Darcy. Why?

Fricke gave in there very easily.

Most Swindon fans will be happy with this signing. All we need now is a new stadium!
