  1. Just went to check on the Facebook page to see if there was any developments and looks like everything has been deleted. Looks like Greg Daniels has tried to distance himself from the whole debacle. See he has now got his feet in the door at Plymouth managing  the team at Sittingbourne today.

  2. Yep, agreed, the racing was first class and the regulars were royally entertained most weeks.

I have to say also that Somerset riders generally have a pretty good relationship with the home fans. Charles Wright is very popular and almost always celebrates a race win by doing ‘high fives’ along the back straight with the fans. Equally, Josh Graczjonek is a well respected skipper who generally takes time out to speak to the fans. The home support quickly took to Richard Lawson and he in turn gave them his time with his own specialty victory laps.

Jake Allen is another rider who the fans enjoy. Always ready to talk on the ‘mike’ and his third bend ‘dive bombs’ have become legendary.

Those 4 hopefully will form the core of the 2018 side. Don’t be surprised if Mr May comes up with an excellent signing to compliment that line up.

Just a shame they don't recognise the supporters who go to away meetings, have been to many win lose or draw and nothing. See it at the OTA from visiting clubs, acknowledge the supporters who make the effort to attend. It's not just this year I might add, have been saying it for many seasons.

  3. Nice to see fans are getting blasted for not going to the presentation night yet have attended all season. Will lose a lot of support being spoken to like that.

Probably the worse season ever, been following the rebels since day one and have attended more end of season dinners than not. This year I decided to give it a miss, extra 50p on the car park and £1.00 on the entrance fee for the same product we were watching the previous season. The promotion have no right to blame the supporters for not spending anymore of their hard earned cash, I'm having second thoughts about next season now.

  4. Popped on the forum to see what was going on...completely forgot about this fixture.

I started the season enthusiastically...but as it's progressed, have become seriously underwhelmed.

Have witnessed some fine racing on occasion, but the whole situation of doubling up, RR's, Guests, so many riders missing, so many injuries, rain offs etc have pretty much killed it for me.

Probably my least enjoyable season of watching racing since starting to watch the Rebels.

Good luck to Swindon....hope they win the league title. They deserve it.

Just a shame the whole season has been blighted by what it seems like, watching the same old riders over and over again.

I'll make a decision about 2pm as to whether to bother or not. At least there are 6 extra races tonight with a small Junior Individual meeting.

Have to agree with you, unsure whether I am going to bother tonight. I have missed more home fixtures this season and to be honest I am completely losing interest.

  5. Wasn't really bothered about going this evening it's been such a long time since the last meeting I'm losing the buzz. But I went, there was some good racing but as a spectator I want to see 4 riders in a race, what a stupid rule in not allowing the reserves to take Rohan's rides. Ok rules are rules but it's only a matter of time before the paying public will get fed up of being mugged of. Was really impressed with Dan Bewley shame he took a while to get going.

  6. I'm not far from the OTA and to be fair when it was called off earlier I was a little surprised, it began raining when I was leaving work although not too hard. Think the right decision was made, nothing worse than standing around getting wet waiting for a decision to be made.

Agree fixture planning not the best, as luck would have it I've not found anything else to do on a Friday evening. Roll on next week!!!!

  7. Thank goodness someone else saw the dust last week, was beginning to think it was me who needed their eyes tested. No where near as bad last week as this week though, you may have been able to see it at Glastonbury Naijer.

I've not been posting on here very long but have been quietly reading from the background, so if Starman says it was dusty at the Kings Lynn meeting then it must have been!!!!! I may need to visit specsavers....

  8. A good win tonight. I'm with you Najjer heat 8 was a complete joke, even the crowd were shouting to the ref but Rod insisted it was Heaps not Kerr. Counted five of them in the box and not one realised.

Jake and Charles stood out for me on what was a tricky track at times. Cook lost interest and threw his toys out the pram, hope Debbie makes him pay to put the phone back on the wall.

  9. While I don't necessary think the changes made are an improvement, it's the team I chose to support when the track opened. I will continue to support them if they try their best, the racing this year so far has been fantastic and long may it continue. More dirt and water on the track and I'll be happy.
