Being a Hornet lifts any rider, even guests!

    Team Building For 2011

You are wrong with regards to Dyer. Unless rules change he will go into the Premier League on a 5 point average regardless of whether he has attained a real NL average. This was the case with Grant Tregoning who was set to join Newport's PL side on a 5 despite posting a 6.xx NL average the previous season (obviously that was before the promotion decided to go with Alex Davies instead).
  3. He's got the programme, I've seen it!
  4. After about a dozen heats I thought 3 meetings (4 in Todds case) in 3 days was a bridge too far for the Hornets, especially as they had to cover Tony's rides also, but the team spirit of these guys is such that they'll pull things out of the bag.

    Rye V Newport

Sorry to hear about Marc's injury. At least he has a long winter to get himself fit again. Seems like Tom Young put in a good shift, good to see him amoung the points!
  6. Another fantastic team performance from the Hornets, this time after losing their captain midway through. Well done, lads.
  7. Nothing in itself, but the language used just makes him seem like a loser who is stuck in the one off world final era. Clearly wants speedway to stay in a world of Wulfsport wearing, badge donning gimps.
  8. Would hold more water if the author was less blatantly anti-SGP.
  9. Beaten by the better side, with more experience of the Wolves track. Well done to the Heathens.
  10. Absolutely deserved. Legend of the sport.

    Mark Jones

Its been a pleasure to watch Mark ride for the Hornets. He is a thinking rider who you can see pick his lines, weighing up opposition riders before making passes. I look forward to seeing him again next year, its just a shame he would be saddled with a 5 point average in the PL.

    Mark Jones

You cannot blame Mark Jones for the Mildenhall promoter acting like an arsehole. Fact of the matter is Mark Jones, Tim Webster and Luke Priest all had places at the start of the season, a team of British riders were put out of work by a British promoter and the current merrygoround ensued.

    Mark Jones

Tim Webster and Danny Halsey are not without team spots because of riders like Mark Jones, they are without team spots because Mildenhall folded.

Webbo has a sprained shoulder and sore left wrist. Thankfully nothing broken. Bad news for Jon, hope he has a speedy recovery.

    Swc Reserve Riders

It isn't difficult to swing that though, "Oh, I hit my head, I've got blurred vision." What doctor is going to say the rider is fit to continue?
  18. Hahaha, SCB wants to give up now, there's nothing like the wrath of a middle-aged woman with her knickers in a twist.
  19. This quality thread was brought to you by bw double. For the record I prefer Brecon Carreg.

Plymouth's loss is certainly Rye's gain.
  21. Does that mean if the Australia team contained only riders from Queensland it shouldn't be called Australia?

    Newport Hornets ~ V ~ Buxton Hitmen

Hornet 44-46 Hitmen Well done to the Hitmen, probably the most complete NL outfit I have seen. Hornets let down by falls while in points scoring positions, but I guess you can't win them all.

    Newport Hornets ~ V ~ Buxton Hitmen

Pro Tip: European Beers > Australian Beers. Fact. Perhaps we should start a thread in GD about the merits of both!
