  1. I didn't know what tellboy had done - not been on here for weeks! I suppose video and photographic evidence plus recorded delivery and taking a colour copy of the tickets is all I can do. If I don't get my money, well, I won't go to Leicester ever again purely on principle. They can't take my money and keep it for something that I have not seen! That's just not on.
  2. Can't do the 10th. Off on a chartered steam tour from Norwich to Chester, already paid for. Looks like I will have to attempt to get my money back now. Bloody marvellous. I said any Saturday bar the 10th and then they go and put it on that date. Just knew that would happen. So people...who do I write to? Dare I write to Leicester if many others have not got their money back?
  3. I still have hold of my tickets. Was going to go to the meeting against Poole tonight, but that's been called off and put on Bank Holiday Monday evening when Peterborough are racing against Redcar, so I'll be at that instead. So, it's either I have to hold out and go to our rearranged meeting (whenever that's going to be?!) or write to the club with the tickets in order to get my money back, but now having seen that a few people have sent their tickets back and not received anything yet, it's making me think twice about doing that...
  4. Just posting ahead of Friday nights National League fixture. Due to so few committee members being available on Friday, there will be no 50/50 draw taking place and the KLSSC table will not be in place either for this meeting. Apologies. The rider of the night draw is still happening however and will be picked by a committee member who will be present at the meeting. The joint National League team manager competition draw is also not taking place this coming Friday as previously advertised. The date has been revised to the next Elite League fixture against Poole on Thursday 11th August. Tickets to enter the competition will still be available to be purchased on the night of the draw up until the interval.
  5. Just thought I should mention our quiz night on Tuesday 9th August again. If anyone has formed a team and is definitely interested in coming along, you will need to buy tickets from us in advance of the event (or reserve them). Please send a message on Facebook or Twitter (the account links are in my signature) or email klssc2016@hotmail.com. Tickets will be on sale tomorrow at the National League fixture against Belle Vue and again on Friday 5th August at the National League fixture against Isle Of Wight. There's still time to enter the joint National League team manager competition too, but the last chance to enter this is tomorrow night at the Belle Vue fixture as the draw for the winner takes place at the Isle Of Wight fixture on Friday 5th August. So, if you fancy giving being a team manager a go, please purchase your ticket(s) tomorrow! Also, just to make people aware, the minibus that we'd tried to organise for the SWC final on Saturday has had to be cancelled due to lack of interest.

    King's Lynn 2016

Sorry for the delay in answering. Never knew anyone had answered me as I rarely post on here these days Josh Bailey was selected as rider of the night by the KLSSC committee at the last NL meeting. I think he'll come good, along with Kinsley and Whitmore, given the right support and guidance and financial help of course. I'd like to see the supporters club really take off, but it's early days yet. We haven't had one for so long, I think both the club and fans have forgotten what it's like to actually have one!!!!

Sorry I missed you Alan! I also missed another Panthers fan I know well too. Nice to see a few of you come over to visit. After all, quite a few of our fans pop over to your place. Myself included. Glad you enjoyed the night

    King's Lynn 2016

Have passed the feedback on! Thank you! I've had to amend my original post as the KLSSC committee were informed tonight that a NL fixture has been rearranged for the 22nd July and as a result, the date for the quiz will now have to be changed! Awfully sorry everyone!!!!! This was completely out of our control. Once we have a new date, I'll post about it again on here more than likely.

Vouchers. That way they can please themselves. I don't think we'll be handing out cash. Trees, is the chairman, just to put that out there

Bagpuss is still around but doesn't attend as regularly. He went to a NL meeting v Birmingham a few weeks back and recently attended the World U21s Round 1 at Lynn like me and stayed till the very end. Boy that was a long night

    King's Lynn 2016

Valid question. Sorry, I really should've mentioned that in my original post. The money raised is going to the riders. We're trying to help the youngsters (NL and MDL) lads more than the EL team as most of those have good sponsorship deals I imagine and are riding for numerous teams internationally etc whereas the younger lads are just starting out affectively.

I was going to do another shameless plug about the supporters club 50/50 draw tonight in this topic, but don't know whether I should dare reading the latest comments

    King's Lynn 2016

Just thought Id make a very shameless plug for the newly founded official Kings Lynn Stars Supporters Club (KLSSC) - founded in early June - seeing as Im dealing with the social media side of things and want to get word out to as many fans as possible about our existence! The supporters club is run by a small group of fans for the fans, but we are fully endorsed by the management of King's Lynn Speedway. We hope to bring the supporters and club together as one with full support from the management. Our base on race nights will be around the area of the Adrian Flux Arena bar - we could be inside the bar however if the weather isn't so good! We run a 50/50 draw - £1 a strip or 5 for £3. As of 30th June, the 50/50 table will be next to where programmes are sold, immediately after you enter through the turnstiles. The rest of the supporters club will be on another table around the bar area. Here, there will be hand held chequered blue and yellow flags on sale for £5 each. This is also where we will be accepting applications for new members who want to join, as well as selling tickets etc for social events that we will be organising. Benefits of being a member: - Discounts off all events organised and ran by the committee - Discounts off any away travel organised by the committee - A membership card - Commemorative badge (first 100 adult members each year will receive a badge dated with the year) and commemorative keyring (for junior members) (subject to availability) - Birthday card signed by the riders - The chance to watch a race on the centre during a meeting - picked at random - The chance for junior members to be a mascot for the evening - picked at random - The chance to pick and present your rider of the night with their award and receive a commemorative photo - picked at random Please note that the membership cards, badges/keyrings and birthday cards are still in the process of being produced at this early stage. Membership prices (yearly): Adults (18 years+) £10 Concessions (students, disabled and OAPs - with proof of ID) £8 Young member (under 18 years) £5 We are also open to suggestions for further events and what we can do to help the club - we have a suggestions box at our table during meetings to leave suggestions in and you can contact us by using any of the methods mentioned below to pass on your ideas/thoughts. 15. Great meeting yesterday Only down side was the dust - then again, it was sunny and quite windy up there, so it was no surprise!
  16. The most sensible post I read LOL! I personally thought the track looked good. Not seen it looking like that for quite a while. Even Ulrich said it was the best it had been for some time over the tannoy! The racing was sublime I thought. Up there with the best I've seen around the Showground in recent years. Ostergaard and Grondal both looked completely different riders compared to last week!!!! Lambert had an amazing day - good on him - he needs the income now he has a baby to look after too so congratulations to him. I was personally feeling quite optimistic that Panthers would walk away with a win, but not by the margin that they did, based on last weeks showing. Credit where credit's due - the team (plus guests) rode their hearts out. I look forward to the next instalment against Glasgow on Friday 10th June. What a meeting that could be!!!!
  17. Yes the 28 days out for concussion seemed a bit odd, especially with him riding in Denmark within the last week and scoring 14 points or something like that, but yep, I had seen that he wasn't allowed to race over here until June 3rd I don't really understand why it had to be that way, but hey ho, I've given up trying to know and understand the rules LOL!
  18. I would actually say that visiting Rye House, for me these days, is a far better experience than visiting Mildenhall! I was reminded today why I only visit once in a blue moon! Next time I go it will either be when Lynn are there or when there is far better opposition visiting. I had genuinely thought that it would be a much closer meeting today, but I got that very wrong
  19. Yes I'm blind without my glasses Is there a curfew at Peterborough?! If so, I've learnt something new today!  That's my response LOL!!
  20. Signed for Peterborough this season but didn't really do all that well at that level and they released him a few weeks back to make way for Cook. Hasn't been signed up by anyone else yet. Think he's just concentrating on the European Leagues at the minute.
  21. I think you might be referring to my photos on Twitter... Yes I took them as evidence! That track has certainly seen much better days. When Mildenhall were in the PL and King's Lynn visited, the track was never that bad and we actually saw some decent racing then... Hell, I even went down there as a neutral for a fixture when Rye House were the opposition and saw some good racing. That was when Steve Boxall was racing for you. Shows how long ago that was! Speedy recovery to both the injured Coventry riders, particularly Knuckey. Not good seeing him go airborne
  22. Hahaha I wondered this as well

    Kings Lynn V Swindon - 26/05/16

Say that again? Sorry, I couldn't help myself! But in response to what you've said, they use Twitter a lot more nowadays it seems. The official account on there gets regularly used. Must confess I don't tend to look at the Facebook page, but it would be nice if it was updated, if that really is the case and they haven't touched it for a few weeks, especially after actually having a meeting on Thursday!

    King's Lynn 2016

Jakobsen is currently out injured after he took a tumble whilst riding for Peterborough at Plymouth several weeks ago. He got concussion and was told to sit out for 28 days. That's probably why he's not been tried out recently. He's not allowed to ride in the UK until June 3rd, yet he was allowed to ride over in Denmark this week and he scored 14 apparently. Yeah, work that one out!!!!! Doesn't make any sense but he's not allowed to ride over here until his 28 days are up. That's what I've seen on Twitter in recent days anyway. Not sure why they don't get Simon in for Wilkinson and give him a run out...although saying that, that might have something to do with him not wanting to miss many, if any, meetings for Peterborough as he has picked up a bit of sponsorship through being involved over there. That's why they went for Wilkinson in the first place from memory. As for battling with Leicester for the wooden spoon, I've felt a bit like that since day one when the team was announced If we come away with nothing this year, it would come of no surprise. Against the likes of Poole (everyone's favourites ), Belle Vue and Wolverhampton in particular, we're not strong enough. I'd even put Swindon in that list actually. I didn't think they'd do too well this year, but it looks like they could prove me wrong! We'll be mid-table at best or right at the bottom. I know I'm such a pessimist but that's my genuine feeling.
  25. I don't know why I've looked now really as it could all change between now and Monday
