Not a surprise really. If Lynn had the same amount of rain fall there as what we did here in Walsingham between 12 and 1, then the track would've been like a muddy lake
-
Yeah, we'd heard the racing had been pretty good. Looking at the line ups, as you say, the racing should be good again. It's currently tipping it down here
-
Myself and my dad hope to be there...but we won't know until the last minute on Friday whether we will be going or not We've not seen a NL meeting since April, so it'd make a change to go and see the youngsters.

Exactamondo! I know it won't really help a rider much if they crash on the straights, but having some kinda padding around the bends may help a bit.

I think you'll find that the air fence was only put up on Monday because it was a FIM/BSI event and an air fence is required?...only guessing here you understand, I could be wrong! Plus, the air fence was apparently Peterborough's, not ours. The air fence we obtained when Oxford shut (think it came from them?) doesn't fit the track properly (apparently). I think an air fence should be up whatever league or meeting it is personally, but this has been discussed frequently in the past and nothing's altered unfortunately... Thanks to superstar for posting up the scores

Forgot about that! My mistake. Mimmo just posted in the PL topic saying he was coming in for Casper.
-
That's what I'd like to know. I can only assume he's taking Jake's place at #4. He'd be a better replacement for Millsy as he has more PL experience than Jake. Now there's a surprise

Fantastic meeting and great to see Team GB progress through to the final without the worry of a race off (makes a pleasant change!) Don't expect us to win the final, but hoping we give a real go! -

Oh god. I'm staying well clear of you and that microphone tomorrow night then!!!! -
Fantastic score for Jake Knight! Been happy with his scoring this season, even though I've not been to an NL meeting since, er, April? Good to see he's still going OK.

By the looks of things, no Anyone even know what the line ups are out of interest?

You what?! That's pushing it a bit isn't it?! I'd heard times quoted as 5pm and then 5.30pm, but I think that's going to cause utter chaos. I thought the car parks would've been open a lot earlier than that. You know, get the 1000s in over a few hours, not 2 hours! -

Anyone know the exact time the car parks are going to be open? Sorry if it's already been mentioned here somewhere! -

The cheek of it I never 'fished' for an introduction from Kyle Legault anyway, LOL, so no I'm not! I've just missed that man not racing in this country. Didn't even have the chance to see him last season when he was with Eastbourne for a little while. -

I have a Swedish flag I'll probably stand on the 1st bend, so you'll be in good company -

Simon Stead looks a completely different bloke from the one I saw back at Coventry for the 2008 SWC. He looks a better rider this year IMO, though saying that, I've only seen him race this season once, maybe twice. Can't really disagree with the 5 riders that have been chosen anyway. Anyone know the other line ups...particularly the line up for Sweden? -

I subscribed to receive the newsletter via email, but the last one I received was last Monday (March 15th) about the youth team sponsorship and the press and practice. Haven't received one for the meeting tonight AFAIK, which is a bit weird as I thought they were going to be emailing us every week like they did last year? One again the weather is an uncertainty! All the weather sites I've been on says it's either showers or light rain from 6pm, so it'll be a case of humming over whether to venture out or not... If it does go ahead, will be good to catch up with the people who I haven't seen for most, if not all, of the winter months -
Ben Fund Meeting
em1500uk replied to colincooke's topic in Speedway Testimonials & Individual and Shared Events
Don't know what meeting you were at, but over on the 1st/2nd bend there was dust on and off for the whole meeting! Instead of sitting on the chairs, I decided to stand right on the top step and I was getting a face full of it Alright, the dust after heat 1 was worse than the rest of it, but still... Anyway, can't complain really. It was a day out for a very good cause and I enjoyed myself none-the-less. I must admit I wasn't overly enthralled by all of the racing, but it's not often I get to see the likes of Nicki Pedersen, Jason Crump, Leigh Adams etc on a weekly basis, so going was worth while, for me personally. Nice to catch up with pcnorwood for a bit No doubt our paths will cross again somewhere this season. -
I think you may well be right!

Echo those sentiments. Wish him well...kinda gutted he never signed for us though, but there we are. Can't own everyone I guess
