    Peterborough Panthers 2016

Hahaha! Myself and my dad are in that shot! And yes...we were both sitting down! Well, he stood up to give applause but I stayed seated. No one stands up at the back of the stand anymore. Some people did (myself included) at one of the first meetings this year, then I tried my luck again at the next meeting, but I soon got told to find a seat or go and stand somewhere else...so I went to the 1st/2nd bend to stand on that occasion. Then they gave an announcement out at the same meeting telling others that were still standing that if they didn't move, the meeting would be stopped and wouldn't continue until people moved. Everyone soon got the message then! I think the no standing at the back of the stand thing is a bit silly myself, but I know that's down to the landlords and more H&S laws no doubt, so the club have to make sure that supporters abide by these new rules.
  2. Think this meeting might succumb to the weather Bit of a bum if it does as I was looking forward to a double whammy of speedway on Monday! Then again, the forecast could change between now and first thing on Monday morning. I hope the wind changes direction or something. Send the rain somewhere else. Anywhere...just not Peterborough or Scunthorpe earlier in the day The last meeting (an irrelevant fixture though it was) against Ipswich was really good. Good to see Hansen back guesting for us again. Can see why he's so well liked by Panthers fans. The EoES certainly suits him!
  3. Making the trip up for this Not been to Scunthorpe since David Howe's Testimonial (and that's going back a few years now!) Happy to see both Hansen and Doolan as the guests. I like both - not sure how either go around the EWR but I'm remaining optimistic that Panthers could sneak a win here... I just hope the weather holds out

Belle Vue Vs King's Lynn May 2nd

What a shame that this meeting was called off yesterday. Despite Trees grumbling about the 12 noon start time I'd have actually preferred it then as it allows more time for getting home afterwards in daylight hours. What with not being at work today anyway and also, by chance, having the day off tomorrow, having the meeting go ahead today would've been perfect for me personally. Now sadly it looks like I will not make it to Belle Vue's new stadium this year, which is disappointing, but hey ho!
  5. Thanks Shadders! I'm on my way!

    Peterborough Panthers 2016

I can't even be bothered to work it out I hardly post these days (and I hardly look at the forum either!) and don't feel compelled as such to post on here anymore...

And therein lies one of speedways many problems

    Peterborough Panthers 2016

Missed god knows how many pages of posts but can't be bothered to go back looking through them all Kurtz, I'm led to believe, wants to go EL only next year over here and then also focus on European leagues other than that, so I doubt Peterborough has even entered his mind

    Edinburgh At Armadale

I wondered what the situation with all this was. Had been wondering for some time. Cheers I might make it to Armadale for the first time in 2016...we'll see
  14. Great to see you posting on here again Gary (King Jamie) I'm surprised to see you after being missing from here for...er...5 years! I hope you're well? As others Panthers have said, can't see anything other than a Monarchs win and they'll go through into the final, but I'm just thankful Panthers HAD a 2015 season if I'm honest. Here's hoping they can continue into 2016 and beyond
  15. I hope a few turn out! And my lot (Stars) supporters as well. After all, our season is over with down the road.
  16. That has made me LOL quite a lot Perhaps the Showground was already being used for an event tomorrow? Always a possibility. I know there have been events on on both Fridays and Sundays at times as that's when we all get to park in the field and have to walk further but why they couldn't share the venue or do an overlap or whatever if there is indeed an event on tomorrow, I don't know. Disappointing to only have R/R instead of a guest, but if the best options are not available, then I don't suppose there's much else that the club can do, other than bring in someone who really isn't number 1 quality and that wouldn't be of much help. Only thing is is that you'd then have 7 bodies instead of 6 bodies doing the job of 7. Hey ho! I hope the Panthers are able to go through, although I suspect I will miss the next home meeting against Edinburgh (think that's who is up next) as I'm away in Yorkshire/Cumbria from Friday 9th to Sunday 11th October. Coming back on Sunday, but wouldn't make a 3pm or 5pm start time! I see the Monarchs home leg is pencilled in for Friday 9th, so looking likely that it'll be Sunday 11th
  17. Always two sides to every story. I'm not blaming Sheffield at all.
  18. Now you really are stoking the fire aren't you?

    Peterborough Panthers 2015

Well yes, I imagine that that helps!
  20. Peterborough are partially at the whim of their landlords... I think a fair few events are held at the Peterborough Arena so I imagine they may well have more of a headache than some promotions at sorting fixtures out!

Are you saying Flyin Panther is an admirer here?! Don't be bloody ridiculous

    Peterborough Panthers 2015

We'll see! I'm not even going to guess at who will be where next year yet as 2015 is still to be finished with! I just didn't think Barker would be likely to return.
  24. I think you'll find Rohan Tungate could be the guest for Peterborough!
