  1. Will be my first visit to Wolves on Monday too. KLSSC are running a minibus so I thought why not go. Saves me or my dad driving for once.

P.S. we still have three seats left for anyone who wants to go. £15 per seat for KLSSC members and £18 per seat for non members. Please message either myself or Trees or go to our social media outlets on Twitter and Facebook.

  2. Have a feeling though this meeting will not be Leicester v Kings Lynn.

More like Leicester 'select' v almost a Kings Lynn team. Oh well, better than nowt I suppose.

It will be better than nowt for me anyway. At the moment, I've paid for something that I have not seen and not been given a refund. I've held out in the hope that I could always make the rearranged date after the July one was called off. Now I'm unsure how I would get my refund...IF Leicester really don't have any money in reserve at all and can't even pay riders to attend!

  3. I have a 40/45 minute journey so not quite as long as you but would hope most weeks to be done 7pm / or 7.15 on a late one and home by 7.45/8pm - would have thought 9 o'clock for you to be the exception. Personally would have preferred a 6 or 6.30 start but I do see the problem for parents like yourself. Be interesting to know how many children attend Newcastle meetings as I believe their regular race night and time is also Sunday around 6.30/7. Equally Kings Lynn who are a week(school) night track not starting until 7.30/7.45 I believe - not been myself this season (first in years that I have not) anyone know what their child attendance is like?

    Not brilliant in my view...

  4. Have to say, I expected nothing to come from our reserves, especially when we were told Knight was in for Holub, but I thought Cook, Bjerre and Thomsen did their jobs. Hall was kinda useless but to be honest, I didn't want him in the first place (sorry Mr Hall but just not a fan :P) But the real issue here was Ostergaard being in a heatleader position and only scoring a total of 4 points. Now he doesn't need telling that that is pretty pants... And it's not the first time in recent meetings: v Redcar at no. 3 = 6, v Newcastle at no. 5 = 7+1. He gradually deteriorated. He would be OK as a second string, but I certainly don't feel that he is a heatleader anymore.

  5. Dont expect Nicolai Klindt to ride then :D:P

It's appalling the lack of thought for fans. Both clubs failing to tell fans it's off as quickly as possible. How long does it take to send a tweet? Was called off well before one, so if hotels had been booked they could have been cancelled but at nearly half past one neither club have told fans it's off. If they are going to employ firms to do their PR for them at least get ones who are efficient and competent. Rant over.

Good job I decided to make the decision to just cancel my hotel well before 1pm whether there was an official call off post or not. Its bad that neither club officially posted or released news that it was off on the website... We had to wait to hear from Nicolai Klindt, the leader of the opposition to tell us via a tweet from his racing team Twitter account so I thank him for being fairly prompt anyway.

  6. Yes Nick rode in Poland. Dropped bike in 3rd heat 1st bend as unable to hold bike. Right arm dead. XRay showed 2 fractures in rib just under collar bone. We have since discovered that it was half a house brick which hit Nick on Thursday. Thankfully it was his shoulder, as if it had hit his head, I hate to think what might have happened. With the speed it came off NKI rear tyre and forward speed of Nick, it probably hit him at well over 100mph. Nick is still in Poland being treated in oxygen tent and electrodes. He aims to be at Lynn on Tuesday to ride against Poole.

That is bloody appalling! I thought he'd broken a rib? That's what I'd seen mentioned on Twitter. I have seen the massive bruise picture that Nicklas shared on Twitter too. It looks bad.

  7. Danish semi final at Esbjerg 8th sept. Esbjerg/Grindsted/Fjelsted/Slangerup

Top 2 go to final at Outrup on Wednesday 14th sept against Holsted and Outrup

Depending on result in semi, either Nki (Esbjerg) Batch ((Outrup) Porsing (Grindsted) NBuskJ (Fjelsted) would not be available if Lynn Poole meeting was on Wed 14th.

That could well be why they went for Tuesday 13th instead then... We can race on Thursdays too mostly nowadays but I'm guessing that the 15th also wasn't a good option for whatever reason?

  8. Could well be another meeting where we are lambs to the slaughter quite possibly so I wouldn't be too surprised to see the crowd number down compared to usual, plus the fact it's on a completely different race night to normal...oh and the season was over long ago in terms of doing anything i.e getting into the play offs anyway! Despite all that, I'll be there  It's a long winter!

  9. Yula Hemsley has told me through a third party, that the names of my wife and I will be on the gate for the meeting against King's Lynn on the 10th September, as we are now in a position to go.

If I get there and find they're not, then I'll bring the gate home with me..LOL!!

That's good that you can now use your tickets em1500uk, but it's sods law that when your steam tour is rescheduled, it's probably clash with the KL v Poole meeting, or the National League Pairs Final!!!

Steam locomotive "Oliver Cromwell" has overrun it's overhaul and the new date should hopefully be in early October so the Railway Touring Company have told me. I just hope it's on a Saturday like the original as if not, going mid-week could be a problem what with my working hours/days...and I've already forked out a few hundred quid on that too  King's Lynn v Poole is Tuesday 13th September by the way ;) I'm just happy I can now make this coming Saturday instead of being out of pocket.

Don't worry about sending your tickets in you'll still be out of pocket, we did this and they sent us a cheque for a full refund and when we came to cash it hey presto it bounced. So no tickets to re-use and no re-fund.

And funnily enough, this kind of saga is exactly what I thought might end up happening for some people and was something I wanted to avoid at all costs. I'm just glad I kept hold of my tickets! Leicester should have just given people their cash back or whatever on the night. It would have saved an awful lot of hassle for many people in my view. But then again, in they're in financial straits then is it any wonder they were reluctant to pass money back over to fans in July? Not really!

  10. Elite League Riders’ Championship
Brandon Stadium, Coventry - Saturday 8th October

We are now taking names of those that wish to go on a self drive minibus trip over to the ELRC at Coventry. Several fans have already expressed interest so there are only a few seats left!

    £15 per head (non-members)

*Please note that tickets for the event itself are NOT included

We will need payments in by Thursday 1st September at the Elite League fixture with Lakeside

If you are interested in going, please come along to the KLSSC table and register your interest with us

Full details to be released as soon as possible…

  11. I just think with cash you have no proof.Bet they didn't give you a receipt, whereas with the cc you do.Plus i would have the cc company/statement to back me up further.I gained as much evidence as i could, just make sure you do the same if asking for a refund.

Nope. No receipt. Just the tickets. Peterborough don't issue tickets, just a printed receipt that gets hole punched when you go through into the stadium, for example. Lynn don't issue receipts either though, just tickets, so Leicester aren't alone.

The idea of swapping with someone instead of asking for a refund might be good...IF anyone is really bothered about going and missed the original date, but we've been performing rather poorly just lately and people might not be interested in going back anyway

  12. Blimey! It's not just Leicester where this sort of fiasco has happened this year, didn't the same happen in the return? And a televised match an Kings Lynn this season, and Belle Vue last night!!

No wonder theres hardly any away support now.. (anywhere)

I know it's happened elsewhere. I suppose I could try advertising on Twitter or Facebook to see if anyone wants them. £18 for the adult ticket and £15 for the concession ticket is too much to throw away.

Seemed to work for me,unless i was just one of the lucky ones.I did pay by credit card too which acted as more proof i suppose. When i emailed them i did tell them of my intentions which may have made them think a bit.

    Thanks to Star Lady :approve:

I paid by cash. But that shouldn't make any difference. It does say in their programme that readmission tickets can be used the following year...but as Mimmo said, what with the promotion situation up in the air, would they allow the use of the tickets next year? I doubt that.

  13. Perhaps swap it with someone who is going?

I'm not condoning trying to get your money back, but if a friend is going, it's a lot easier, and less hassle...

    Just saying..

I don't know of any Lynn fans that want to step back into that stadium again after the fiasco in July! I have one adult ticket and one concession here though if anyone is interested  which I highly doubt it!
