With captain Rory Schlein out injured (Glasgow Friday night) I presume Wolves will be using R/R. This should be a bonus for Sheffield. With due respect Tom Bacon isn't contributing too much at the moment. That means the remaining 5 riders all have to be on form for Wolves to get the league points. At least Rory is 2nd in the averages so all of the top 5 can take a ride. Hopefully still a Wolves win, if only a narrow one.

For Sheffield which Batchelor will it be ?

Wolves win this by at least a dozen points you have no reason to be worried!!

It has been announced that Pirates will have to put out a similar team to that which rode at Kings Lynn on Monday. Different guests but still r/r for Brady and 3 guests.

The result is likely to be similar to Monday which is a shame for the top of the table clash. A full strength Poole team could have come away with a point or more but no chance with the current injuries and guests.

    55-35ish.

Another 'Average Manipulation ' evening for the pirates !!

Problem for Ipswich is they didn’t have any proper firepower at the top end when it matters. That’s why they will fall short this season.

    Good meeting though. Enjoyed it.

Absolute rubbish!!  They have riders who will beat the top boys at home and always keep things tight away from home!!

    Predictions:

Kings Lynn to win by 8 on the night.

Ellis & Howarth scores combined won't equal what the missing Danes would have scored individually. I'd say Iversen 13 from 5. MPT 12 from 7.

Me to avoid BT sports all night

I don't see how you could expect Iversen to score anywhere close to 13!! And I'm not so sure Palm Toft was going to have 7 rides tonight!!  If Ellis gets 7/8 from his programmed rides and Howarth 8/9 from 5 I don't think it would be too far off what the 2 Danes would have scored!!

  5. i have requested odds at skybet #requestabet that Doyle wins all 5 heats and the semi and the final

also Doyle, Dudek, Saifutdinov, Zmarslik final

should be massive odds so only going to have a little bet, and both are unlikely to come in

first time I've tried it so don't know if they respond to all requests

Unlucky if you got to do the four finalists bet !!

  6. I don't see why it should. Coventry at home are not significantly weaker than Lakeside at home. KK should be roughly the same as AJ is at Lakeside and Bomber at Brandon is as good if not better than any equivalent Hammers heatleaders. Lakeside beat Poole with a six man team because they got stuck in and had the crowd behind them to come from 6 points down to take the win.

Coventry have the potential to win this, but it means digging deep, functioning as a team and the fans getting behind them.

Giant killing is what Speedwáy is all about. If the Bees pull this off you will all be walking on air for I week as I was when Lakeside beat Poole. Get in and support your team. It's a big ask but it's doable.

The biggest difference is the track you rode poole on at lakeside !! The pirate heat leaders really dont like the place unlike brandon which they ride as well as any away track in the country !! I would fancy the bee's chances more if we faced poole at purfleet to be honest !!

  7. Not sure why Coventry fans are so pessimistic about this fixture...having those 2 guests potentially makes you stronger as you never know what to expect from KK...Hans on the other hand will be busting a gut to prove you lot wrong and Ellis the way he is gating will heavily outscore Bates around Blunson...if King clicks then it's an away win for me im afraid

Agree could be a very dangerous prospect especially if he gates as well as he can

Why be surprised? Thats the state of speedway over here now

Andersen had a full season to prove us wrong and failed !!

  8.

Eddie Kennett did that off his own back deary, nothing to do with the club.

Your club fiddled averages to get Darcy in. Poole have used the unfortunate Dak situation to bring in another rider on form, how is that comparible. I have to say, it's good to see the bitter angry Mr Zero back, didn't think you'd be able to cover it up for long! :D

    Swindon = Cheats

Poole = Cheats pretty simple really

Oh dear !! A year in the slammer and the first thing i see is that poole are cheating again !!

  9. So the folly if dropping a 6.5 rider for a 5.9 rider may now show as guests for Barker have to be PL riders. Who's available on EL 5.9 or less? At least will MJJ was serving his months ban any EL 6.5 rider could guest - meaning Cook, Bridger, Schlein, Mads.

Let's just hope Barkers ok or we're using Fricke and Worrall while he's out.

Whats wrong with using rider replacement ??

  10. I struggle to sympathise too much with Mr Ore, as I cannot believe that anyone in this country would lay out a substantial sum of money on accommodation based on, in particular, speedway or cricket, which are at the mercy of our weather probably more than any other sport or outside event

I realise this particular scenario is not due to the weather causing a postponement - but it certainly could have been so and the o p would have been in just the same situation

A similar scenario can exist in Barclays Premier League football, where match day tickets and hotel and travel bookings made, only for the game to be moved to accommodate live televising

It is a gamble when booking in advance in these areas, and it's perhaps worth checking the nearest Premier Inn, for example, which can be cancelled up to the day in question

I had the violin out too mate !! Hillarious post
