    Wolves 2018

Pawlicki on 8.00 and a 2.00 rider would be under the limit and while he has had a mixed season, maybe some extra meetings may help him get back on form but you also have the likes of Kenneth Bjerre or Peter Kildemand more likely and can win races away which has been a problem for Wolves on away tracks. Heeps has has been the big let down as he came in as a five plus rider that needed to be pushing six to seven but is struggling to maintain a four average and his recent high scores were mainly gained by beating weak reserves To make the play offs Wolves need to really win two of their remaining away meetings especially when you see Belle Vue still have to go to Leicester and a win there would put Wolves down to sixth place in a league of just seven

It's not just the sport that is the reason people are leaving but also the cost. By lowering the wages paid it can be lower admission prices and it will see an increase in crowds. By getting a bigger crowd you sell more at food outlets, create more atmosphere and more people talking about they night they had out at the speedway. At £18 for adults you are not going to gain new people and judging by the age of lots of fans, many qualify for the £13 concessions now. Yes but foreign riders will be on assessed averages not 3.00 and with current Premiership riders in if you make a list of current riders here and add a number of new riders from abroad and the NL then 35 is a realistic figure. At the end of year season when averages are finished you can work it out but if it has to be 34 then so be it as long as it's fair to ALL tracks and British riders get more places, especially at reserve OUTSIDER - just reading through your post about four teams in two events So going on your example of Scunthorpe, heat one and both Scunny riders get wiped out and unable to continue .... Match over also your are increasing the away matches by three but only one home match to create income. Only way around this is home track pays all riders on a set pay rate of £50 a point and £50 a start

    Swindon Robins 2019

Firstly other teams have to win away matches to go above Swindon so your still in line for the play offs. Secondly I fear Swindon may well be forced out of the Abbey at the end of this season with houses all around and permission for the development of the stadium still to be agreed and the present site more viable for housing than a minority sport as it is at other venues too. Hope me the second one is wrong but will see in the close season

ONE LEAGUE CAN WORK AND IS THE ONLY ANSWER At present we have 18 tracks in the Premiership and Championship and with Lakeside closing, hopefully Rye House will be back plus hopefully two tracks can move up from the National League as teams would be built to Championship strength, not as was done in 96 when lower teams were made to get in star riders. With twenty tracks you have 19 home and 19 away plus being at Championship level it means tracks can rave on their chosen race night. It also means the only doubling up would be with NL riders who would be number sevens and protected. ENOUGH RIDERS - Yes there will as you will have twenty riders moving in from the NL plus you have new riders in from Denmark, Sweden, Germany, America and many more countries to cover for the spaces left by riders that were doubling up. Fixed race ace nights were only bought in to stop riders that were doubling up missing fixtures in the other league and not to encourage top riders to return to the country that can't afford them. By racing in one league tracks can use their chosen race night and have weekly meetings instead of gaps of weeks waiting for the next home meeting. IMPORTANT RULES REQUIRED PREMIERSHIP AVERAGES - Although teams will be competing at a level that is like the Championship is now, it has to be done using all riders on Premiership averages either set or assessed and done to one decimal, not two. Therefore a rider on 7.18 is actually 7.1 to avoid teams being 0.02 over the limit which is in effect one point in 50 races over. By using Premiership averages you will have riders like Rory Schlein, Craig Cook or Nick Morris on real averages instead of stupid 13.12 assessed averages that are not achievable and riders from the Championship that are on 6.22 in the CL being assessed at 4.7 (4.78) and teams will start with realistic figures. FOREIGN RIDERS - these are welcome to join or stay unless they decide riding in Europe is more beneficial however many will be happy to have 38 league meetings here and still able to ride abroad when they can. Riders can take priority in their home nation but otherwise commit to British Speedway. HOWEVER all foreign riders coming in or already here must have an assessed average if they are below that average at present. So so a rider like Erik Riss has an average of say 6.4 but his brother Mark has an average of 4.4. As German riders coming in would have an assessed average of 5.0. Mark Riss would have to use that assessed average until he reaches that standard so he will never drop below that 5.0 and if he was actually averaging 4.2 and misses a meeting, his team can only use a guest upto his real average of 4.2 and low and behold most of these would be British riders thus giving them more meetings. POINTS LIMIT would be set at 35 working out the common average of riders here and who could possibly come in as NL drafts would mostly be 2.0 riders but as all foreign riders will be at least 4.0 minimum, all reserves would mainly be young British riders and all teams must track at least THREE British riders which is easily obtainable. This his gives you weekly fixtures at home, a varied fixture list with no repeats, more spaces for British riders and all on the race night suited to each track. If you run this and then after a year you can get the top and bigger clubs to add a top level league in 2020 by using their top five riders in the one big league and add any TWO star riders from a choice of three signed to the club. These meetings would be run on a Monday (just as BT matches would be in the one big league in 2019) and if eight teams want to also run these meetings they would have seven home and seven away meetings over the season. Each track would be involved in one home and one away meeting each month meaning they cover 14 set Monday nights which is filmed by BT. However BT can also film a few other Monday's showing the one big league meetings making 20-22 live TV meetings. In the one big league, tracks would be encouraged to get admission prices down to £10 or £12 maximum as wage bills won't be as high as present for many and the tracks then also running the top level meetings can charge £20 as you get the chance to see Wolves with Woffinden, Lindgren (or Pawlicki) with Thorssell compete against Swindon with Doyle, Sayfutdinov (or Musielak) with Morris. ONE BIG LEAGUE VARIED FIXTURES MORE BRITISH RIDERS REDUCED ADMISSION (£10 hopefully) YOUR SEVEN RIDERS ARE JUST YOURS WEEKLY FIXTURES

    Swindon - Wolves 30.7.18

Nine races gone and two heat winners for Wolves. Good top three just don't do it away and both heat winners were 1-5 races so in seven races Swindon 30 Wolves 18 tells the true story
  9. If he is riding on a Polish licence as a Polish rider then he CAN miss the Leicester match to ride in his home nation even though it's a rearranged fixture. However his name being down in the Lodz team appears to be for the RR facility to be used although not stated in any press from Poland. Therefore I would presume he isn't on a Polish licence and Britain is his home league and rides at Leicester tonight. Either way way it's a gate and go fixture and of the three meetings on tonight, the best one to put on TV would be Swindon v Wolves rather than Somerset at Kings Lynn without Doyle.
  10. But he only went out of series due to injuries
  11. Unless he is riding on a Polish licence so Polish fixtures would take priority for Polish riders. He is lined up at number two so either he is riding or they are going to operate RR as they are already missing Andersen
  12. There is no limit to the number of riders allowed from one country and Kolodiej Zmarzlik Janowski are pretty safe and I think Dudek would finish top eight or get a wild card. Hampel however finished second to Woffinden and only injury has stopped him being in the series since. With the the money and sponsors in the Series heavily coming from Polish connections, he should be up there for consideration along with Drabik who will no doubt be World U21 Champion again. Having five quality riders from one country would be fine and would certainly think Hampel is deserving a wild card as much as those also on the list. Nicki Pedersen maybe the pantomime villan but hasn't shown much in the GPs for some time, Holder the same in many ways and Zagar usually has a run of results to keep him in contention but so far his best score is just nine points in Warsaw. Doyle will get a wild card for sure but Cook, Pawlicki and Vaculik unlikely to be back. So four wild cards would be Doyle for sure, then it's who deserves it the most from Holder, Pedersen, Zagar, Hampel, Drabik or Leon Madsen who is possibly the best rider at the moment not in the GP series.

    Swindon - Wolves 30.7.18

Swindon to win by 12 and Wolves will fall away with lack of race winners and weak tail end. Wolves in their present form and looking at other teams strengthening won't get much away with their current team. If if they can't get more from the tail end, maybe they need to add to their top end when the new averages come out and get more race winners on their travels.
  14. Hans Andersen returns for the Leicester v Poole match tomorrow night while Josh Grajczoneck is in the Lodz line up after today's rain off. Presume he is riding on his Polish licence allowing him to take their fixture first and RR in for Poole. Nice night for Nicolai at reserve for the last time and no doubt another big score from the gate
  15. There were quite a few from this line up that could have been a top three finisher but in the end we see three former GP riders back in the series and all in their thirties. Kolodiej is still a strong rider and on a par with Zagar but Iversen and Lindback should be outside the top eight and will have the odd meeting where they don't struggle. Was hoping Pawlicki, Fricke and Lambert could have made it but by all reports it was very much a gathers track and seen a few heats on social media and looked to be a gathers paradise mostly which is a shame for such an important meeting. Only one GB rider next year or will Lambert get a wild card ? Hope now Kolodiej is in that they still consider Hampel returning as only injury has kept him away or even Drabik up for a wild card. See who finishes top eight but think the current top eight will remain top eight
  16. 1 Vaclav Milik - Can mix it with the best but only as a spoiler 2 Antonio Lindback - On his day a great rider but far too often disappointing 3 Robert Lambert - Tai was same age in 2010 and he learnt from it GO ROBERT 4 Niels Kristian Iversen - Not the rider he was and like Lindback 5 Martin Smolinski - Not for me and not going to add much 6 David Bellego - Not GP standard 7 Kenneth Bjerre - See Iversen 8 Craig Cook - Think the GP is too much for him to deal with 9 Krzysztof Kasprzak - Going well in Poland but inconsistent in GP 10 Hans Andersen - Great team man but see Bjerre 11 Piotr Pawlicki - Class racer and can add spice to the line up 12 Max Fricke - Better than any other Aussie (Doyle not inc) 13 Kevin Wolbert - No 14 Janusz Kolodiej - Still a capable rider on his day. 15 Matej Zagar - Deserves to be in GP and won't be in top 8 GP scorers 16 Jack Holder - No thanks Piotr Pawlicki, Robert Lambert, Matej Zagar Kasprzak, Kolodiej, Milik or Fricke otherwise
  17. Thought 4-6 was the non profit area. Thought it would be -3 myself not -5 but I'll take it, just not cheering Robert next time !!
  18. If the spread was 4-6 and Lambert got one, then surely you lose three times your stake as its -3 not -5 if he had scored 9 then it would be +3 surely ?

    Belle Vue v Wolves - 25/7/18

Aces should rip Wolves apart in this one. At Monmore only Cook, Fricke and Bewley put up a fight but around here they can hit 50 without breaking sweat while Wolves will need their top three to hit at least 30 between them just to keep it respectable as Morris, Howarth, Heaps and Graves will do well to get -5 between them. Aces win by 14 and about 11 heat winners

    Wolves 2018

Only answered your post with a bit of a quip. as for always paid rent, don't think so and the opening promotion left under the cloud of owing rent big time
  21. Had the rumours about Woffy joining Wolves been true, Wolves v Belle Vue would have been the match to show. The he return of the Champion against the rivals from Manchester and the two Team GB riders that are GP regulars facing each other. This would have been a great publicity hit had Wolves announced this at Cardiff but opportunity missed.

    Wolves 2018

ALL current or recent GP riders are at 8.00 minimum as in Martin Vaculik when he came to Leicester. Chris Holder was the only one to be under eight as he rode here in 2017 but next year should start on 8.00 as he isn't riding here this year. As for Woffy starting Monday, it would have made the biggest impact if announced at Cardiff by the man himself. Wolves face Belle Vue on Monday and their is a rivalry between the two sides and Tai has previous in winding up the Aces fans. They often bring a few down from Manchester and had he been bought in for this one it would have been great publicity for British Speedway. The he crowd level would have been the biggest of the season as all clubs are down on attendance and at a guess this would have added another 500 on the figure which would have covered the increase in wages. In my opinion even though it would have been tough on Thorssell being dropped, it would have been a no brained and good for all concerned (Jacob apart) However as nothing has been released at the big event I can't see them now coming out with it and think Tai will more than likely be getting his farm and chickens in order over the coming days rather than sorting out the team and Wolfpack on Monday. maybe when new averages come out soon it may change, but this was a golden opportunity to do the deal and announce it at the showcase event.
  24. Know this was a much tougher event but thought Robert was more likely to do what Cook did but he was very unlucky with two wrongful exclusions and a chain snap but even with those don't think now he would have got over six any way. well done Cookie though and anyone that had him for more. I went all in on Lambert more
