I agree, as long as the rules allow it, Plymouth will go with a short term replacement. With a fair wind Covatti will be back for the league fixtures on the 10th May.
-
I seem to remember from previous years it's the top 3 averages in your team that qualify your team for the pairs so I think that means Berwick are the team to miss out. Am I right in saying King and Harris will be riding but Wright will be at GP practice?

I agree it must be a 12.00 start. -
I didn't see any new rules from the AGM to prevent riders of Tarasenko's ability entering the Championship on a 5 point average.

Better line up then the GPs....... if only politics and business didn't come into sport. -
Has the new stand been erected yet?

The air fence gone to lynn?

Edward Kennett could probably do a lap.

Does anyone know where the lights, starting gate and fence are? Did Workington get the lights? or is everything in storage?

Anybody who missed it.

I nearly choked on my dinner......... excellent stuff.

1. Ipswich Witches 2. Oxford Spires 3.Sheffield Tigers 4. King's Lynn Stars 5. Belle Vue Aces 6. Leicester Lions 7. Birmingham Brummies
-
I hoped for speedways and Birmingham's sake that the Brummies could have a succesful year but 2.59 under the points limit........ not good.

Brandon Estates won't want to keep bringing back a tweaked application, they will need to add some significant facilities to outweigh the loss of the stadium this will eat into their profit margin. They could bank the land for 10-15 years and hope opposition has disappeared or they could cut their losses and sell up.

Excellent news, well done to all involved. The fight goes on.

How long before there is a mysterious fire in the grandstand?
-
Redcar look good on paper, problem is 3 of their riders are coming back from nasty injuries.
-
Gilkes surely won't ride for a Saturday club if he has signed in Poland.
-
I am pleased with the team, Howarth is decent round the EWR and will do a job at number 1, as long as people don't compare him to Douglas. Top 5 looks solid but I don't see huge potential for improvement, whether Scunny can challenge for silverware will depend on how well the reserves progress.
-
Surely the rounding up comes after 2.5% is deducted, i.e round up 2.925 so it will be 2.93. Gilkes and MPT next week.

'would be very happy to open talks over the ownership at an appropriate time' Chapman has been adamant that speedway is finished at showground but he is happy for the enthusiastic consortium to put the work in to try and save it. If they are successful, Chapman can get a load more money for the sale of the club. The complete lack of effort by Chapman to save the club himself and then says things like 'All we want is for the club to return to racing', is shameful.

Testimonials

Anyone know where Thomas Jorgensen is having his testimonial? -
I think your right, I can't see Gilkes wanting to ride for Workington or Berwick as he has a polish team.
-
I can't see Jake's average climbing that much, he has been at about the same level for a few years now.
