What's the crack with the rules on rolling starts? We were told after the Edinburgh meeting that if a rider does jump the start that it must be pulled back even if they have penalised themselves. Happened a couple of times with the Scunthorpe riders moving and it was let go... Not complaining as we had made the gate each time... But again, where is the consistency?

    First I heard of it.

Bysarna speedway have awarded 6 million SEK,* from the Swedish Inheritance Fund. They money is dedicated to the construction of a new 500 cc track.

    *about 440 000 GBP/ €516 000

Will they return to league racing? it would certainly add a logistical challenge for riders/mechanics

Funny, as talent goes, for some reason i recalled a discussion i had on here years ago with Phil Rising. Phil said he was talking to Gundersen at that time and Erik said that if you think this group of riders are good (Mikkelsen, Bech Jensen etc) just wait for the next lot, they will be even better. I said to Phil that i really couldn't see it happening, as i was a fairly frequent spectator at Danish junior racing at the time. Then one or two jumped in on me saying along the lines of 'how can you question someone like Phil/Erik

I think the years have shown i was right, and there has been no top Danish riders come along really. Certainly no group, and barely a single elite rider

Is Marcus Birkemose comng back when he has served his drugs ban?

Anyone fancy us to overturn this huge deficit?

More to the point, anyone know who’s at #1 for the Gladiators tomorrow?

Looking forward to seeing how the new track works out tomorrow evening in the company of my fellow Gladiator supporters and the Bar Bandits on Bend 2 :D

Is the track ready to go?

It's tough but it has to be done.

Lampart will need at least a year to adapt and Brum don't have that time because the ship needs steading now.

Something like this 1-7 would dig Brum out of a hole and would see them putting some wins on the board.

    1. Laguta or someone of a similar standard (Everyone has a price)

    2. Brennan

    3. Klindt

    4. Worrall

    5. Pawlicki

    6. Z. Cook

    7. Killeen (If on the RS list)

Luke Killeen for Leon Flint..... crazy if you ask me.

Brum need at least 4 team changes to see the season out imo because it really is that bad.

The only good riders they've got are Brennan, Zach Cook and Steve Worrall (The latter gets a free pass due to him riding out of position as a HL due to Tolley's clownery when it comes to team building)

Milik is useless on British tracks, Flint is abysmal for a Rising Star who's been around for a good few years now and never improved, The only track he's good around is Berwick. Pawlicki getting 5-1'd by Joe Thompson basically tells fans everything they need to know on night one, No point bringing Lampart back because he'll just struggle all season.

Tolley's either got to splash the cash on riders like Zagar and Laguta (Everyone has a price) or he's just got to pull out of the league because he'll lose thousands and thousands of pounds because fans will not turn up to watch an uncompetitive team for much longer, Brum don't have a loyal fan base like KL for example.

So who do you change for Flint? he is one of the best rising stars, imo I wouldn't swop him for any other rider on the list.

That makes sense based on heat 5 at Scunny last night where to me at least (and Lambert) it seemed that he got 2nd only for it to be given to Jason Edwards

Schlein made a good point though saying he hoped the riders involved had remembered to attach their transponders to their bikes... who checks this before each race? The machine examiner?

Same here I thought Lambert got it, it seemed to take the ref a while to decide, I am not sure if he was watching a replay.

Believably unbelievable... chuck them on the scrap heap along with the GTR's and the Anals (:D) tyres

There was an inevitability about them not working, Britsh speedway struggles to get a set of tapes and microphone to work never mind transponders.
