  2. I feel the pain of the Wolves supporters, Monmore has never been a happy hunting ground for me and I’ve watched Peterborough get some right maulings there, getting a win there was like rocking horse ****. In CVS you have a fantastic promoter and owner, if anyone can steer you to a future, it will be him. You’re in safe hands and I wish you well.

They are now in breach of their contract with DHL I would suggest. DHL must be wondering who the hell they have got into bed with following yesterday’s umm oh er umm er performance from the AEPG CEO.

There is only one other entrance they can use and they definitely did not want to use it, even the planning officers emailed them months ago suggesting it would be a better approach. I think the reason they didn’t want to use this entrance was because that will be the entrance they will use for development as their plans for the first set of houses are close to it. Development traffic and HGV trailers using the same road would undoubtedly see a reaction from residents and businesses that currently use that road access.

It wasn’t noticed by everyone but Councillor Stevenson was wearing a Panther brooch.

The bloke needs someone to dress him, he looked like a tramp. Don’t get me started on his shoes. . . .

I was there, he had a face like a smacked arse.

Clubs pay for them - nowhere near the expense of an air fence, which became mandatory At the track Don't need to be fixed to the air fence, weigh them down with used tyres Costs likely to be recouped by not postponing a single meeting

Track covers should be mandatory for every club. Of course this won’t stop postponements if rain sets in 15 minutes before a meeting starts, or stop abandonments if it starts raining during a meeting, but it will reduce the number of postponements and nights like yesterday, considerably.

2 hours round trip in the car and eighteen quid to watch . . . . . . . a parade. Ridiculous. The sport sure knows how to shoot itself in the foot. Several Peterborough fans there tonight, testing the water it would seem, I’ll bet they weren’t impressed.

They’ve backed themselves into a corner with their naivety and lack of experience. There is only one way this is going to end for them, they don’t know it yet, but they are a busted flush.

Yep, that’s quite a seed change.

He was asked, but like you said, all his equipment went several weeks ago.

I’ve tried to get an understanding of the likely timetable from a variety of decent sources, basically no one has a clue who, when and how a decision is made. As a guide, AEPGs retrospective application for the car maintenance was put up for discussion in March of this year, the planning department have recommended to refuse and there’s a planning meeting about it on October 17th. If we use that as a guide, we may hear some progress in February 2024. But essentially, I haven’t got a clue. LOL

If planning is refused it’s gonna cost him a small fortune (which he doesn’t appear to have) to appeal. I am pretty comfortable in seeing his pockets emptied.

I definitely hear what you say BUT there is so much more they could do if they kept the stadium and track, all it takes is a little thought and imagination, in the same way Belle Vue sold their plan to MCC.

They have definitely been shocked by the number of objections to their development plans, they seemed to think it was a done deal, a walk in the park. They didn’t bank on the outrage they have been hit with from local residents and Speedway supporters not only in Peterborough, around the U.K. and even the wider world. This is what happens when some random bloke from Surrey rocks up with a plan, who has no affinity for our city, no thought for our sporting heritage and no understanding of local people.

I dare bet Aaron Murrell had never heard of AEPG until a cheque landed on his desk. Given the state of AEPGs finances filed at companies house in the last couple of days, I wouldn’t hang about cashing that cheque, Aaron.

Yes, apologies, my slip of the keyboard.
  21. I still think this is very much in the balance. From a personal perspective (and as a Panther) I would be very happy to see Ipswich win the title, especially for their supporters, I’ve always found them a good lot. (Apart from the one or two whose names escape me, but they know who they are LOL).

AEPG in desperate need of positive press on the back of almost 1500 objections to their Showground development plans. All seems a little obvious and more importantly, desperate.

    Peterborough Panthers 2023

At this moment in time, the council haven’t approved any Showground development plans. In actual fact, the retrospective change of use planning application for vehicle maintenance and storage by AEPG has been refused, subject to a public planning meeting on 17/10. I like to think the council are being impartial and honest (leave it), and we will see in due course. If an application is refused by the planning department and then suddenly approved on 17/10 then there will certainly be a whiff in the air.

Ipswich v Sheffield play off final 1st leg

During the TV broadcast, when they went to one of the breaks, they showed odd clips, on one of the clips it showed a riders tank being filled and the colour of the methanol was pink. Have they started putting colouring in methanol? Never seen that before, but it has been a while since I was in and around any pits!
