It may have been technically advanced but it looks like the original site, including the out of date statistics, the headline Brummie colours still incorrect with muddy brown red and dirty dark yellow. Obviously a lot of thought has gone into the "New" website ! .....round of applause !!!!!!!!

I see its bought the comedians out in force................. Bjarne Pederson!... who next KK even with his beer glasses on AP would not sign either of those two. Barker has said he wants to ride for Brum and has no probs with the management, regards AP as a friend, (Source:- Birmingham Mail.) Id rather we signed Phil Morris first.................... where's my fairy godmother when you need her.

Actually there are perhaps 22 pages of "Crap" but hardly a mention of Mr Povey or the Web site on this thread. I respectfully suggest you reply to the original thread to air your grievances. a rant by the Andy Povey protection league is not required. On this forum we all gain most of our info from unaccredited sources, Those who cry apologise should put their own house in order first.

Knowing the astute Mr Mole, any offer to buy the club would have been well below the expectations of AP. (I believe Moley still has a financial interest in the club) With Moley sidelined, Badger and Ratty gone we are left with Mr Toad! The latest announcement on the BSPA site does not fill me with confidence..... oh dear, oh dear...

I blame old age ...........All I can say is there are some very talented and creative accountants about. In some cases losses can be very advantageous, the said company is not a charitable institution. and I dont believe in fairy godmothers. But Swindon have changed promoters, no doubt they will get riders with 2 bikes Talking of riders I hope we dont end up with Nicholls

I am little concerned as I have not seen anything official about the comm managers resignation, have we been led up the path by mischief makers? According to the Brum Mail Luty has rescinded his promoters licence and does not want any involvement with Speedway!..... so you can be certain he is looking for a buyer. I have been informed that the riders are still owed money for the last few meetings... if true? is this the real issue and why King wants out? is the Joe Mac issue a red herring? I see Patch has left Swindon allegedly owing a lot of money, not surprising, and it is also alleged he still owes Brummies a considerable sum.

I am not suggesting the present owners should go. I just hope they have learnt from the situation and not allow any future problems to fester. I hope they can build bridges with those who have moved on (not the Zig Zag type) Whatever the rights and wrongs or politics of the situation in my view if the rumours are true? the commercial managers position will become untenable, the commercial gains he may bring being outweighed by the damage done to the club. Finding new fans is harder than finding a new commercial manager I also echo previous comments " have all the issues been solved?

    Birmingham 2014

I don't see the problem as being the commercial manager, in my view its not his fault, he can only act as allowed by the team owners, they bear the ultimate responsibility for giving him the authority by default or otherwise to allegedly interfere in matters beyond his remit. As I said in a previous post, it is reported that he has allegedly said "I virtually run Birmingham Speedway"......so who allowed that situation to occur?... not hard to work out. I have some sympathy with AP as he has stated that C. Luty has taken a hands 'off' approach leaving him much of the work. I suggest AP perhaps moved some of that work load onto the shoulders of the Comm.manager. One could assume there is a communication problem between AP & CL but they bear the joint responsibility for what has happened. (Luty does seem to keep a low profile I wouldn't even recognise him) I just hope the lifeboat is not late in putting to sea.

Surely the fact that a meeting took place between King, Morris Drury and the other team owner Luty without the knowledge of AP i.e. in secret, suggests to me the problem may not lie with the commercial manager but with AP especially as he has already talked about standing down in the interest of the club!,,,,,,,,,,,,,, However I understand the Commercial manager has allegedly claimed that he virtually runs the club, this of course may be just bragging....but......Just read the article in the mail......... King states it is the worse season behind the scenes he has ever had, hinting the prob is with AP, CL and the Commercial manager You takes your choice as to where the prob lies but this is disaster for the Brummies we will be left with a team of has beens that no one else wants.. with the inevitable consequences..... all very sad I also get the impression that Drury is less than happy but has another year of his contract to run! Edit:- It could be that AP knew about the meeting and is just being a little crafty, we are in the dark regarding all of the politics within the club............... their may be some hidden agendas!

I would have thought the conclusions were obvious........With Kings transfer request the pressure is now on AP .. I would not be surprised to see him go ....expect more "news" in the next 7 days

From todays Birmingham Mail. Co-owner offers to leave club if it benefits speedway club Alan Phillips claims he was kept in the dark over Phil Morriss plan to leave the club And the Brummies co-owner has admitted he would be happy to leave Perry Barr himself – if it was in the best interests of the club. In another dramatic twist in what is becoming something of a sporting soap opera, Phillips has revealed how a meeting took place between his co-owner Chris Luty, Morris and skipper Danny King when he was on holiday. “I didn’t know that meeting had taken place until Friday when Phil had already resigned,” he said. “You can draw your own conclusions from that, but that’s the main reason why I was surprised by the timing of it all because Phil was part of the future plans at Birmingham. “I was aware there were issues but I felt confident these could have been overcome in good time for next season. I have the highest regard for what Phil achieved this year and as a person, but this is bad timing in my view.” Morris has revealed how his meeting with Luty addressed his issues but clearly nothing had been done to resolve them. Phillips said: “I really have no idea why I wasn’t told about that meeting. You’ll have to ask the other people concerned. I was first told about it when it was too late.” And Phillips says he would leave the club if he felt it was the right thing for them. “I’ve given it my very best and made some mistakes along the way,” said the Solihull businessman. “And, yes, if I felt it was in the best interests of Birmingham Speedway then I would hand it over to somebody else. “I was disappointed by some of the comments made by Phil, to claim he was working with amateurs is out of order in my view. “We will make a decision on which direction the club is going this week, I need to speak to Chris Luty again and take it from there. “I’ve felt isolated at times this season – I’ve got a partner who doesn’t want to be involved on a day-to-day basis, I’ve been trying to keep Phil and co-promoter Graham Drury happy, keep our commercial guy Joe McLaughlin happy, keep the riders happy and keep the fans happy. "It’s been impossible at times.” I'll leave everyone to draw their own conclusions from this statement.................. .More water to pass under the bridge before the season starts methinks.
  22. Im sure IFS will be discussed at the next BSPA conference, and will decide to include them in the scoring system, BUTS may also be included if a team is 10 points or more behind the league leaders... just might be that Brum has scored more Ifs and buts than Swindon?...... The BSPA may also consider making a Tardis available for the club who has most ifs and buts so they can go back in time and change everything and finish top of the league! Did you only have 4 riders in the team ?
  23. Nah ..by the time the riders reached the dressing rooms it was all forgotten... storm in a tea cup......mountain out of a mole hill etc I'm all for that... bring it on ....and in the blue corner
  24. Well one thing is for certain, the incidents have given the killjoy PC self righteous a chance to give their high horses plenty of exercise and the angry and disaffected a chance to stamp their feet and bang the desk
