He was dropped after poor meeting, only a fool would think it was on Richardson's terms. Idiot. -

Any useful knowledge you may divulge on this forum is negated by your personal diatribes towards Scott Nicholls. Lets face it, in April you called Lee Richardson as the British Number 1, based on his performances in Poland. The same week he got dropped by his Polish team. You will make an argument to suit your own ends, but that is it. How many semi's did Lee get to? You also seem to watch Speedway via TV or internet at the highest level? How many EL matches have you been to? How many GPs have you been to? Well I went to Eskilstuna when your so-called British Number 1 went 0,0,0,0, oh and, 0. -
Rip Off Prices For Old Gear

Tell that to a rider that is injured or sacked or owed money from dodgy promotions...they are all self-employed, and so can pick and choose whether they want to be in SGP or not. I don't think any get paid a living wage when the s**t hits the fan Interestingly, I think Davey Watt has entered the SGP qualifiers against Poole's wishes. However, its his decision... -

Well we could insert the name, "Super Sevens" for SGP, BSI/IMG. How a Premier League track seemed to get more than a fair share of glamour EL riders; and how the same riders dropped like flies (presumeably after knowing what the pay rates were). Clever though....Seems that the clueless bunch who run Speedway in this country DID cotton on this year, as their income from the shared events was lower than previous years! -

Bit like King's Lynn or any other Promoters of the sport. Technically using riders to get you through the gate in exchange for money? -
Slovenian Grand Prix

Re-read what you said, essentially Nicholls was crap even before the rain? Well, he had 2 rides of his 3 prior to the rain from Gate 3. Only a couple of riders were ever going to 'not be' crap from there. -

Yes, Nicki and Hans were the class apart, and the only 2 to register wins from the outside. How did Gollob earn his last 2 rides to be from Gate 1 prior to the semis? Of course it was the luck of the draw. -

Before the rain, Scott had 3 rides - all from Gates 3 and 4. Bjarne Pedersen was dreadful considering he had 2 rides from Gate 1. -
Exactly, the purpose of Green Sheets without Bonus Points is misleading IF it is going to be used for International selections....Its wrong! I also agree with you, Colin, on WC selection. Its disappointing though that a cock up has been done as well.

So I see from the British Speedway website that Olly Allen will not get an opportunity to qualify for the Speedway GPs for 2009. I cannot see how Daniel King gets ahead of Olly Allen, for the life of me, I do not understand why? Can anyone explain?

Could you give me the averages, please?

I agree, Gdansk is great. Nice fast track too. I went in 2005 before direct flights were about, but returned in 2006. -
Elite League Best Pairs

You a real idiot. I never said the PL pairs DID intrude on Newport. Re-read my post. Glad to see you can afford so much speedway. I think putting the EL pairs right next to the PL pairs WILL make fans decide which one they want to go to. Friday night is harder to get to (remember last year?) than a Sunday afternoon along the M4. It will certainly turn fans away from Newport. It is not the only practical date either. -

Along with PL Pairs clash that Steve points out: It is the biggest emphasis yet on the fallout that may have happened between EL and PL. Are they talking to one another or p1ssing each other off intentionally. This isn't an accident in my opinion. -

Am I the only one who has had enough of Sub? His comment about taking the last 2 GPs, holds little water, I am taking Scott's performances since the end of June. 4 GPs. A longer period of time. His EL average since July is also 11-ish. Face it, he is clearly in good form. Certainly in the top 16 of the world and worthy of his place in the GPs so really, get over yourself! -

Yes, best of luck to Scott. The rubbish that he is getting on forums is extreme to say the least. Given riders risk their lives for our entertainment, you'd have thought he may get a little bit of respect. Anyhow, on reviewing the last 4 GPs, from AND including the British GP, Scott is 4th in the overall standings! Behind Nicki, Leigh and Jason. Not bad. -

Hi Guys, This topic has got well out of hand. Its a bit crazy and personal. For my money's worth. You cannot have 16 riders in the GP all with a chance of winning the title. There is only 4 or 5 MAX. Scott for me sits in the 2nd Division of GPs, great ratio of getting to semis, not always converting...you just need to get in there, and your points are massively improved. I follow these world rankings... http://www.przegladzuzlowy.pl/news_index.php?id=1089892799 The ranking is embracing all individual competitions, championships of World and Europe and scores of three strongest leagues (GB-Elite League, SWE-Elitserien, PL-Extraliga) on the end of European season. Classification is a reflection of VALUE of the rider! No ranking is saying which competitor is 100% better – my also not! The classification is depended on amounts of meetings in which rider participated in the LAST 24 MONTHS. I am a Coventry and GB fan. I think Scott is worthy of a place in the top 16, further he has proved that with strong showings in GB, SWE and POL of late. 56+1 from last 20 rides for Coventry Also, I am pleased to see him being more agressive. Why do fans seem to dislike that in Scott, but LOVE, absolutely LOVE, when Hans or Nicki (even Jason) are all elbows?? British people are far too reserved! Peace out.
