This is exactly what Birmingham are doing .... although more astutely than others.

Eh? So much for a true supporter

And certainly not Tony Mole's!

What Is The Connection With Speedway And The Wall Of Death?
*JJ replied to Shale Searcher's topic in Speedway News and Discussions
I saw Guy Martin try flat track at Rye House once; I think that it was for some invitation motorcycle racing affair. He wasn't very good, but with a little practice he could probably do it. Though after making a serious attempt at killing himself road racing, he has given up racing! -

He will also be at the Birmingham Press & Practice day tomorrow. -
They would then have to pay them!

Dogs are edible! Don't try to find out what is in your sausages

The Somerset stadium is now a wonderful facility. If the new Coventry stadium - if it is built - winds up as good as this, you will be doing very well.
-
Changed his mind now.
-
In that case, the track which is most central and easiest to get to, and easiest to ride, is Perry Barr.
-
Shagrat and Gorbag.
-
Er ... you have actually seen any NL racing? They are NOT 'wobblers'!
-
Get behind Sandhu? He's the one who is knocking your stadium down!
-
That really will finish speedway off!
-
IN which case, you would be better just running the Storm for a couple of years. As it was supposed to be land which is too polluted for housing, could the land be the sewage farm near Wolston? (In future, we will be able to tell Cov fans because they breath through their mouths ) The rest of this area is farmland.

Oddly enough, exactly the same comments were made when Birmingham applied for permanent planning permission in 2010. Until noise monitoring took place; it was found that with the new silencers, the speedway was inaudible!
-
I doubt if he dares

Actually, a rider's first experience of 'a league meeting situation' has to be in the MDL or NJL. Very few - only those with extensive grasstrack etc. experience - can go straight into the NL without a year or two in the Development Leagues.
-
No - the MDL is the 'Development' league. The NL is the 'Third Division' - a league in its own right.

sweaty sock in a frock = Scotsman in a kilt!

The adverse camber meant that half of the track was unusable - what is the use of that? They need a track where the skilful and brave can go round the ouside by the fence to overtake.
-
No he didn't; it was for defeating the French in the Battle of Blenheim, and some others, many years later.
-
JPB has been riding in the Scunthorpe amateur winter league; he was mixing it with Max Clegg and the like.

Some things could do with improving. Page after page of fawning over the GPs: who is that interested? National League tucked away at the back as an afterthought. It's a fully-fledged league now, Phil! Only a postage stamp-sized section for MDL/NDL affairs. This deserves very much more. Totally ignoring the Amateur speedway scene, although Richard Hollingsworth sends a report every month. There is Lydd, Iwade, Dragons and STR as well.
