Then why are you making this comment on the Birmingham thread? You can certainly watch seated and/or under cover at Perry Barr if you want.
-
Have you actually been to Perry Barr?
-
Actually, he was doing well until broke his wrist in the summer. After that, he wasn't the same force.
-
Trying too hard!
-
Well, he IS a Birmingham asset! So is Ludvig Lindgren.
-
I'll bet. Barker plus Auty plus Smolinski sounds better. King is much the better rider.
-
That's running averages. He actually scored over 8 this year.
-
The article also said that Phil Morris was just waiting for the results of the BSPA meeting before signing King. I can't see that they could possibly let him go.
-
Perhaps Horton simply couldn't afford the rumoured £500 per point Hancock got from Poole?
-
Yes they are actually TRAINING them. I am trying to help a young man who wants to be a speedway rider - mostly by providing transport - who has just had his third practice session riding a 500cc bike. He has now succeeded in sliding the bike right round the corners, but he has had to more or less teach himself how to ride; he has only had a few words of advice from anyone. The trouble is, that even practice sessions are available at only a few tracks. Next Sunday we are going to drive 100 miles to Scunthorpe, while there is a track only two miles down the road which cannot be used!

Birmingham V Poole Grand Final 2nd Leg
*JJ replied to pirateandi's topic in SGB Premiership Speedway League
It's not only Poole. They played 'What's New Pussycat' for Peterborough, and nobody whined then. -
I can't see Barker going back to Coventry. If Horton is still throwing Teddy out of the pram, we could pull the same trick as Swindon did with Troy Batchelor. I would certainly like to see Ben back next year. As for Danny King, some people are being very unjust, talking about him 'bottling it' in the play-offs. In fact, he crashed at Perry Barr because he was trying to make a supreme effort in going round Hancock.

Birmingham V Poole Grand Final 2nd Leg

He was in the crowd talking to the fans, signing autographs, and so on. A master-stroke by whoever thought of that! However, I expect that those of the Poole fans who swore at the officials asking them to stop using air horns were offended. Too bad. -
Thanks; the mechanic can have a go at this when he comes out of hospital ...

One of my friends has bought a bike with a GM engine, with a Blixt carburettor. He is puzzled why, when the engine has been running, the oil separator bottle fills up with methanol fuel. Has anyone any idea of what could be causing this?
-
Er ... Stansted is the whole length and breadth of Greater London away from Lakeside!
-
Considering how rubbish they were in the previous match at Birmingham, when Wolves were thrashed, that's not difficult!
-
What is your source for this information? Or is it just one of your trolls?

Probably don't want to pay for him to come all the way from Slovenia? (or was it Slovakia?) -

If Covatti and Smoli had not had engine trouble ... if there had not been three wrongheaded refereeing decisions ... the FACT is, that the best team on the day won. -

What a load of wimps. You mean that you only support your team when they are winning? I's only 9 miles; it's not like you have to go to Poole! -
Probably after he reneged on a deal with Birmingham a few years ago.
