What's the usual spiel that's rolled out every time someone makes a slightly contentious remark about a riders ability?? "Be careful riders read the Forum, they're only human, you'll hurt their feelings.blah..blah...blah" Well, it seems to me that some of the people who are first to jump on posters in that manner are the ones calling Bruce a "minger"!! Usual Forum consistency at work!!!!

Buddy Robinson is an American who only rode in this country for Exeter in '84. I think he averaged about 5.5 and was regarded as a decent prospect. Leif Wahlmann was Swedish and also only rode in '84 and was on loan from Poole. He was only about 18 and was making pretty good progress. Tragically, he was killed in the European U-21 Final (now called the World U-21 Final) at King's Lynn following an accident with Andy Smith.

Wasn't former World Finalist Jerzy Treszkowski officially Swedish though? He had Swedish citizenship i believe. Rode for the same team as Jan Andersson and was recommended by him....cheers Jan!!

Leonard Raba and Jerzy Trzeszkowski were Speedway gods!! There were some shockers though Adam Olkiewicz, The late Jerzy Kowalski, Jan Puk and Wieslaw Patynek were the worst surely.

Jiri Stancl and Jan Andersson in Heat 10. Peter Collins finished last in that race.

The idea of junior races integrated into the main match is awful. Swindon did so in 2003 and it totally disrupted the flow of the Meeting. On a number of occasions matches had reached a critical stage when, loe and behold out come three or four Juniors to take the atmosphere and tension back down to snooze level. Also there is the prospect of inexperienced riders crashing and potentially causing long delays to the main meeting, or even worse, a cancellation. That would do the sports fragile credibility the world of good wouldn't it? Thankfully, Rosco has already stated that the Juniors will get their much needed racetime after the conclusion of the main meeting in 2004. Hope all his decisions are that good this season, we won't go far wrong if they are!!.

Sigalos was Wolves number 1 when they re-opened in '84. Got a badly broken ankle later that year and was never the same rider again.

Very good - top of the class even though it was spelt Bernt Persson. And which Norwegian rider had a most peculiar Christian name? Odd Fossengen

Giving up?? Bernd Odermatt!

Fluffass..... Do you need any more clues on the German?? I hope not 'cause i haven't got any!!
-
Ex Leicester and Hackney, early 80's, and not very good! Swindon nearly signed him in '83 The only Cradley and Oxford Norwegian i can think of is Ulf Lovaas.
-
On a similar theme. Who was the German who sounded like a flame affected smelly floor covering??
-
Excellent news - I don't suppose you have the dates of the previous meetings do you? I'll sort it out 4 ya

Frigbo don,t insult Eric by suggesting he rode for the wolves, how they would have wished. He only ever rode for one British team "CRADLEY".apart from the guest appearances Not me suggesting such a thing However he did ride in a Challenge Match for them in '78 before joining Cradley
-
Borivoj Hadek in the 90's too

Ole Olsen, Hans Nielsen, Finn Thomson, erm, now I'm struggling. Hans Daniellsson? And, would I be right in thinking Erik Gundersen turned out for Wolves ever so briefly before Cradley? Could have any of Neils Weiss, Johannes Fransden, Leif Berlin, Knud Ellegaard
