Suddenly all the talk of Devils being able to reach play off's doesn't seem as far fetched as some might think. With James Wright coming into the team in place of Benko the team should be stronger from today and away fixtures to come against teams below them in the tables.

In contrast with a threat of rain 14 heats completed at Plymouth last night in just over an hour. Jim Lawrence in the ref's box had the two minutes on as soon as the track was clear from previous race. A good example of how the referee can keep a meeting flowing.

hi
i have been looking at various posts on here with regard of the nicki glanz situation. from the 2012 scb rulebook
18.1.2.3 No facility is permitted to replace a Rider, who although included in a Re-declaration has not made an appearance for that Team since being re-declared.
plymouth re declared the team, on or around 23.8.2012 to fit jake andersson in. plymouth rode at somerset on the 31.08.12
with out nicki glanz taking part does this mean plymouth are breaking the rules
I dont see this as a problem as the re-declaration was to replace Kesiek who is injured with Anderson.
-
I guess it all lies with what facility is granted to cover for Glanz who it has been reported as with holding services, if a NL guest then Reade can continue in the team without re-declaration.
-
Rider Replacement for a missing reserve, thats a new one! Guess the sports writers can only print what they are given. Can't be that difficult to get a NL guest can it?

Any news on updates for this one?
-
Thanks NJT, he certainly looked good on a speedway bike yesterday! Out of interest do you know who were the Weymouth riders he beat in that second half?Alex McLeod, Jamie Dixon, Scott Day & Daniel L'Anson
Heat details are in the acadamy section of this forum.

Josh Dingle, based in mid Cornwall, has been competing in youth grasstrack for a number of years. Recently took part in the Plymouth v Weymouth second half at the Boniface Arena where he was unbeaten by a Weymouth rider in 4 rides.

I think it is unlikely as all our updaters are attending meetings tonight. Will post results up as soon as possible after the end of the meeting.
-
At the meeting I won a voucher for a 30 minute trial flying lesson at Wellesbourne Airfield valid until the end of September.
Due to work committments and being located in Cornwall I am not going to be able to take advantage of it and is is available to anyone offering a sensible contribution to Nick's Testimonial fund.
Any one interested please contact me via pm or e-mail.

Have to agree about heat 13. That was one of the best heats I have seen since the start of racing at the SBA in 2006, all the more impressive than Ben lost his steel shoe quite early in the race.
