SammyR 0 Posted December 29, 2004 I was wondering if anyone knows which club team(s) Soren rode for in Sweden. It would be nice if Belle Vue could race against them for a Soren Sjosten Memorial Trophy. Sam.

SammyR 0 Posted December 29, 2004 It's just come back to me - Soren rode for Folkare; in fact, I think his nickname was the 'Folkare Jet'. The team don't exist any more, as far as I know. I believe they were based in Avesta, Soren's home town, where Masarna ride now. I wonder if the Aces could set up an annual challenge with Masarna for a trophy in remembrance of 'The Jet'. Sam. Peter 0 Posted December 30, 2004 Thanks Peter,Where on earth did you get all that information? Superb, mate. Sam. I got it from the history section of the worldspeedway.org site (www.speedway.org/history/index.htm). There's plenty of information on there!
SCB 15 Posted December 31, 2004 Great photo.. I think Kelly Moran must have styled himself after Soren Sjosten.. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Have you seen the picture of Kelly in last weeks Speedway Star? Reminded us Newport fans of Frank Smart. However, having seem Kelly at the end of his career and watched Frank SMart for the latter half of his, I have to say they're two completly different, yet equally mad/exciting racers, riders woudl not be appropriate for either. sandman 0 Posted January 2, 2005 Great entertainment for sure. Trouble is, most of the flamboyant riders seem to get more injuries over the course of their careers..I hate seeing past great riders racing on the downhill slide..Yer only remembered by how ya left the sport..Gotta go, think i just saw a bounty hunter hangin out at Woodys landing, askin too many questions..damn i knew i shoulda taken care of them marina fees i ran out on in alabama..
