Rugby's 5, now 6 Nations is popular so why can't speedway put together something similar.

But the 6 Nations has full coverage on the BBC. That's why it's popular. Even tennis is popular when the BBC show it non-stop on two channels for a fortnight during Wimbledon. Don't underestimate the power of TV to make a sport look more popular than it really is.

There is nothing to stop the BBC, ITV, C4 or even five getting the rights. Sky have the rights to the domestic and GP's at the moment a new tornimet would mean a new package for tv.

But who owns the rights to something that doesn't exist? The BSPA own them for domestic speedway and BSI bought them for the GP's. Both competitions existed before so there was someone to buy them from.

When will the FIM latch on to the fact there's something else to organise then sell? While they're at it can they also get their heads round a proper European Club Championship and sell that too?

How would that work, with the same riders competing for three different teams?

Im not sire how that would work but Im sure an International Test Series would work.

It would all depend on how serious the other European teams took it? (Poland, Sweden, Denmark etc.)

In the early eighties (82 or 83 I think) they ran a series of 3 team tournaments with 3 teams of seven I would like to see that return.

So aren't we back to square one?

We want a competition which all countries will take seriously

We want all riders to be available to race

Surely this all points to a taking a week out of club competition and having yearly SWC?
