New Italian Speedwayengine.

Recommended Posts

Very interesting indeed. Speedway definately needs more engine manufacturers.

Great to have a new engine on the scene but it looks bulky and heavy in the picture.

For the ones interested in bikes and engines, on the German internet site;

http://bahnsporttechnik.de/home.html

is an article about a brand new Italian speedway engine the "Bellini"

Hope it proves a success for them. Whilst the engine type may be brand new, the building of Bellini engines goes back as far as 1978 when Paolo Bellini and Walter Kruger (a German Porsche mechanic living in Italy) deciced to build a special speedway-engine by using a Weslake OHV bottom half, and on top, a SOHC 2V Porsche head.

They have made several designs over the years, whether this ones proves to be a success story only time will tell.

Any news on how much it would be in £'s??

Under at the Bellini story is a phone- and faxnumber, and Mr Bellini speaks very good English, so contacting him is no problem.

....... and I forgot to add what a brilliant site this is, wish there was an English translation of it. Any volunteers ?   ;)

Just go to www.google.uk/ type in, bahnsporttechnik.....it will come up with a translate button to view the whole site.

Quick and easy.

The Bellini story part 2, with the older engine types like the SOHC / Desmo / OHV is now on the Bahnsporttechnik site.

The site is now with online translation in English and French.
