Can any of you Crusaders give me some 'gen on a P.Furniss who rode for you at Middlesbro on 3rd July 1969, as he doesn't appear on the Crusaders website anywhere?? sidecar121 0 Posted August 4, 2003 I contacted the web site "stats man" for you and he came back with the following reply... Sorry I can't shed any light on this one. My stats came from "The Complete History of the British League" by Peter Oakes and there is no mention of P Furniss in the Canterbury averages for 1969. I thought that maybe he could have been a guest but I cannot see a P Furniss with an average in 1969 for any First or Second Division team. Share this post Link to post Share on other sites

Peter 0 Posted August 5, 2003 I had a look at Middlesbrough's Cleveland Park Life website and in the 'Where are they now?' section, they list a rider called Paul Furniss. It says: PAUL FURNISS - Appeared in junior scurries at Cleveland Park in 1969 and 1970. His brother Nigel ran the administrative side of the speedway. Lives in Thornaby. frigbo 518 Posted August 7, 2003 I have mate, problem is the HTML course doesn't finish till October :roll: I'll probably do each year as i go from then, once i've got half an idea what i'm doing!
