3 Rider Final Heat.

I got to thinking after the final heat last night that with Scott being excluded for touching the tapes, wouldn't it be an idea for the G.P's to follow the Elite league and put the offending rider off 15 metres instead.

 

A 3 rider final heat is surely an anti-climax, and in last nights case would have resulted 3 finishers with Nicki crashing out.

 

Any thoughts ?.

I agree CC...after Scott went out I didn't pay any attention to the final, mind you that could have been because I was clock watching and worried about missing the last bus back to the hotel! (Which we didn't get anyway as they didn't pick up where they said they would!)

I can see no reason why the offending rider can't start on Gate 4 even if he was, originally, in another gate. he'll be 15m behind so there shouldn't be a problem.

 

Ultimately I want GP riders in each heat, not a meeting resreve who may gift points to the other 3 riders in any particular heat.

 

Yes seeing Tai would have been good but only if someone is ruled out through injury.

I personally think it an awful idea. But, then again, I'd not allow replacements for tape touching in the first place and having riders handicapped without proper facilities (i.e., a second starting gate) is just plain stupid.
