rob tatum 175 Posted November 13, 2012 As a fan from bristol who has followed speedway since 77 at eastville I watch with sadness the awful decline of league speedway. Terrible facilities ,badly run meetings ,very average riders in the ELITE league on show ,poor track conditions etc etc etc. And yet the GPs in my opinion are getting better and better (a bit more dirt on SOME tracks would be good thou ). So what is the answer ?
Chesilmaster 2 Posted November 16, 2012 I agree. I only attend SGP meetings now. Seem to be more value for money.
2ndBender 28 Posted November 16, 2012 But if you don't have league racing, or some other grass-roots domestic competition, where are tomorrow's GP riders going to come from? They don't just appear on the GP circuit overnight - they develop and hone their skills and expertise over time, in domestic competition.
