wandersome 281 Posted May 27, 2013 When Leicester Speedway reopened in 2011, the announcer was immediately disliked and the name of his replacement, suggested by people on this forum was Chris Popple. He was given the job and then some of the people who suggested him started to ask for his removal. Some people are never happy unless they are complaining. I can't remember anyone suggesting Popple. I remember lots of people saying the original guy was as clueless and hopeless as it gets (he was) and when he was replaced by Popple i remember lots of people saying whilst not good he was at least an improvement of sorts. I don't recall anyone ever suggesting him as a replecement though. I DO remember lots and lots and lots of people suggesting that Popple should be replaced with Sensicall. There was calls on here for him to be replaced with Rob Sensical which is what happend in the end. Fact is it was another egoistic showing from Popple on saturday. He & Rob were at the main gates when i entered on saturday while Rob greeted me with a smile & chatted to me. Chris Popple just looked down his nose at me said expect big changes at the club soon .
