Wolfsbane 12,944 Posted May 19, 2014 6 miles west. Thunder grumbling, sky evil. Appears to be coming from the east, which is very unusual. Fingers crossed.

mdmc82 2,878 Posted May 19, 2014 Just had a massive downpour at the track apparently according to the Updates site. Showers were due at 7pm so hopefully they haven't watered it too much

speedybee 295 Posted May 19, 2014 Big downpour at 6.30 leaving track soaked but they're grading in extra material and it looks to be drying reasonably well with some strong winds about. Fingers crossed for some good, safe action. And it seems we have Yorkie instead of Porky on the mike? Surely not! Riders have asked for extra grading. Start delayed til

Start delayed til 8 I may be suffering from old timers here but my recall is that Sky weren't impressed last season with the number of rain offs and the cash it was costing them. The solution was that tracks would now be covered prior to racing. Obviously once racing has started the tracks could not be protected. So why is this meeting being delayed due to rain that fell prior to racing? The forecasters got it spot on to within 30 minutes so the rain wasn't a 'surprise'. Or is it only Sky meets that get the covers in which case the paying supporters of non-Sky meets can just cough up and stand around? Puzzled.
LagutaRacingFan 1,936 Posted May 19, 2014 (edited) Who's Bee's team manager tonight, very astute in terms of managing Sergey and Garrity's rides. Edited May 19, 2014 by Liam Gallagher Fan
mdmc82 2,878 Posted May 19, 2014 I love our reserves. Always give 100% shame Garrity broke down twice or could have been at least a draw for the bees Howarth and fisher really struggled again tonight.

Woz01 3,589 Posted May 19, 2014 Id have taken that before the meeting. Fisher is really struggling at the moment, I think a change wont be to far away.

Put that on Updates before heat 15. Based on the result he got it wrong but who's to know if Jacob would have done any better? The 'automatic' picking of Tai despite the evidence is being noted however. Impressed with Hansen tonight. Not his points but the fact that he actually found Monmore Green Edited May 19, 2014 by Wolfsbane

The 'automatic' picking of Tai is being noted however. Impressed with Hansen tonight. Not his points but the fact that he actually found Monmore Green To be fair, Tai hasn't been an automatic pick this year, he's been left out of at least 2 last heat deciders.
