Leicester Lions 2015

Dont really know. Think the horse has probably already bolted.

Looks to me that it's another season of trying to avoid bottom spot.

Perhaps better see what Nigel Pearson is doing this summer!

Come on then! After last night who is for the chop and who is going to replace them!

I think that one rider is definitely under threat and possibly another who may however be given a little more time to get back on the pace.

We need to act fast before Wozniak's average goes up.

He was unlucky last night in his first he had to shut off when Simon Lambert swept wide & took his line on 1st bend.

Then missed the gate in 2nd before being rougher up in 3rd.

As for Walasek i was informed last night that he is unlikely to return to Leicester now with Swedish league due to start tonight Greg is still a big heat leader in Sweden where he can earn a lot more then he does in the UK.

Walasek was on the same sort of deal to Peter Ljung from last season where they sign till May then he would assess his options when the Swedish season starts & with him getting injured the impression he has given is he won't risk being injured in the UK again when he can earn more in Sweden.

Yes, i totally agree with that. He's been a really impressive newcomer to the Elite league and looks like one to keep an eye on in future for sure.

Hope you're wrong about Walasek, but it sounds totally credible that he would try and impress in the Elite league and put himself in the Swedish shop window in May. Damn it!

Who'd run a speedway club eh?

Now if only someone had suggested the points limit was too high. Why did nobody else see this? What we have ended up with now as Bjarne and Walasek forced to ride, plus Miedzinski at Swindon who is making noises that suggest he isn't coming back. Brilliant. Actually feel sorry for Leicester in all this.

Apart from Doyle, Fiske, Auty, and Lambert last night, the effort from the other three left a bit to be desired. I expected more from those riders. Its seems a shame that a club like Leicester who have fought hard to get speedway back should attract riders who are obviously not prepared to give it their all...

Sincerely hope the fortunes can be changed around and the club continues to get stronger..........

Some of the blame has to lay at Leicester's door for agreeing for 2 years running with 2 different riders to sign till May & when Sweden starts see how they feel.

If riders do not want to commit to a full season then don't sign them.

So who do they sign? There are no riders because the points limit is too high!

I think that is the main issue there is nobody

But why is there nobody? Because the BSPa made the points limit too high. If the points limit was 2 point lower there would options but when you have nearly 8 points, there are no options.

As the season goes on, things seem to be going from bad to worse. What looked like a good pick of riders has now turned out to be a shambles. Not only the riders but also the manager needs to be looked at also, he just hasn't got what it takes and was suprised when he came back again this year.

Unless some drastic measure are taken and very quickly the Lions will stay at the bottom of the league again, a shame really, because what loked like ateam to fight for mid table turns out again to be langishing on the bottom.

Lets get things moving and moving fast to sort out a good team to take the Lions to a place they should be in now.
