MattK 3,447 Posted October 20, 2014 Unfortunatley with the best will in the world and £4.000.000 theres nohwere that the Nimbies wont stop . why not build houses on the proposed new site for the speedway . and leave Brandon as it is a) It would appear that Brandon has been sold to housing developers (or someone working with housing developers) The current stadium is in what I would class as a fairly residential area, so it will always be at risk of redevelopment c) A location away from houses (what about on the boundary of the airport?) will be at a lot less risk of threat from developers d) My plan means the stadium is owned by the speedway and you're not at the mercy of landlords who may be motivated by different goals. New Science 1,059 Posted October 20, 2014 The stadium has not been sold. The company that is trying to get permission to build houses is ran by Sandhu Interesting now how Mr Sandhu who was lauded as the messiah by some Coventry fans is now the chief architect into banging the nails into Coventry speedways coffin.

Woz01 3,589 Posted October 21, 2014 All it was on Saturday was for residents and fans to look at what they would like to do. Not application has been submitted. It was full of inaccuracies one being that they said it's in Binley Woods when it's in Brandon! They also didn't have a clue about the hangers being listed. SCB 0 Posted October 21, 2014 All it was on Saturday was for residents and fans to look at what they would like to do. Not application has been submitted. It was full of inaccuracies one being that they said it's in Binley Woods when it's in Brandon! They also didn't have a clue about the hangers being listed. They didn't know about covenants on the land. They couldn't give ANY timings. They answered every question with, "we're unable to answer that......". So in some way pretty pointless to hold the meeting, all it did was give us a chance to get together and discuss ways to stop it.
