Dave Stummings 126 Posted May 29, 2015 Club statement reads STOKE Speedway regret to announce they have taken the decision to postpone Saturday’s City Gearboxes National League fixture against Rye House.A further outbreak of vandalism has resulted in significant damage to the referee’s box at Loomer Road.Police investigations are ongoing and at this stage it is not possible to guarantee safe repairs can be concluded in time for the fixture.Heavy rain during Friday means track work would be required to get the match on, and this would normally be completed without concerns, but priority at this stage has to be given to the stadium issues. In the circumstances, Stoke Speedway have elected to make an early decision to avoid inconvenience on race-day, and we look forward to our next fixture at home to Mildenhall on Sunday June 7 (3pm start). Dave Stummings 126 Posted May 30, 2015 Indeed awful. I was looking forward to coming up to this, never mind, hopefully will be able to make it next time. Hope they catch the swines, but will probably get no more than community service! Good luck Stoke on catching them.
