Sometimes it’s not the manager that finally picks the riders really he will usually get the top scorers together and they discuss who wants to take the rides, sometimes they don’t want it sometimes they do it maybe depends what gate they might be off lots off things

There were signs in Woffindens last championship that Zmarzlik was going to raise the bar - another couple of rounds that year and I think Zmarzlik would have caught him. After that, Tai never really laid a glove on him in the GP.

That was when Lynn was a pretty regular trip for me even from Leicester on a Saturday or Sunday you'd be guaranteed an entertaining afternoon or evening of Speedway... how times have changed, they are currently back on my banned list due to ask the shenanigans over recent years and I really can't see me returning unless there's a drastic improvement in the track because we all know how it can be.

The Henka, Loram, Brhel years were awesome. Last heat decider every week. I can remember Petersen at Lynn in 1988, I think he dropped a couple of points off his average and didnt last the season. Had a falling out with Bill Barker over money and popped up at Wolves IIRC. Then of course finished his career over here very successfully with Arena Essex 1991-93.
