In a realistic world I think the level of rider standard in the championship is where UK speedway now sits, in the perfect world if they could get another 3 clubs in and get the fixture list better sorted they could gradually progress. Appreciate the lack of riders issue but their are newcomers/youngsters out there its just having something to tempt them over with.

And therein lies the problem.  You have a rider like Max trying to be the best that he can be and it effectively leads to him losing his job for the next season.  This is not the first time this has happened and is all down to the points limit.  Other teams appear to have been smarter and while it is great that a rider gives 100% in every race, they need to keep an eye on their average and hence their employability - e.g. Jason Doyle.  I remember when Leigh Adams was saddled with a ridiculous average (above 12) in the past - which makes team building a nightmare.

Who’s to say that Bewley and Kurtz don’t ride in U.K. next year. Riders have very little loyalty and ride where they’re paid best. A TV deal is paramount I understand for the Premiership to continue in something like its present form. If it doesn’t then Lindsey could well be BV’s new number one!
