Emil as you say has been pure class and it's been a wonderful privilege to be part of this as a supporter. From a lay person's point of view does this tell us anything about the league set ups next year or am I reading too much into it?

Whether you agree with it or not, on what ever grounds, betting is a huge opportunity, Just need to push the ethical betting button. Lobby to get greyhound racing banned on the basis of animal rights, plenty of evidence to support that. Low and behold huge gap in the betting market and lot's a new/returning venues 😉 I'm not a gambler myself but it's a huge part of culture within affluent males. I suspect you'd have to go all in with the bookmakers (i,e, let them dictate what they want) and that might not necessarily be league racing but hey if it brings sufficient funds into the sport.... The sport is made for betting... ...even to the point of having lengthy gaps between the action to allow for more betting. It's not like the sport has many more throws of the dice...

No Emil is a massive loss not only to Ipswich but British speedway in general. However I don’t think it’s a massive surprise. Emil has been nothing but pure class these past 3 years & I feel really privileged to have been able to watch him week in week out for the past 3 seasons. I’d like to think that we may not have seen the last of him on the heath. -
Possibly. I get the feeling it's not Villads (average doesn't fit), Bastian or Mikkel, which are the others people have talked about. But I don't know anything. All guesswork. Mutterings are unusually quiet.
