Isn't it amazing, that after all these years of British speedway, the referees (or anyone else for that matter) weren't aware of this interpretation of the rule? Well....unless it's just recently been made up of course. You have to say, it's a bit odd that the Speedway Star, backed up by 2 referees with over 20 years experience including at FIM level, published a completely different version of the rule. Is this new interpretation just for 2027 though? or is it subject to change if a BSPA representative in the SCB finds that it doesn't suit their team in next seasons playoffs? The whole debacle is frankly embarrassing. -

All it needs is referees to apply the regulations 012.1.2 Heats Heats shall be anti-clockwise of 4 laps duration, unless the SR’s state otherwise. In normal circumstances the time from the finish of a heat to the start of the next shall not exceed 4 minutes (including the 2 minute time allowance). -

All very good suggestions for the rules, so expect the opposite to be voted in 🤭 -

On a 4/4.5 I’d actually welcome him back. But he’s still slightly above average 5 and there’s better value riders out there. He was quick at times last year but suffered from trying too hard and riding injured. That injury during the offseason really hampered him
