  1. Heard a few weeks ago that berwick could not get in touch with Mr Cook regarding size for kevlars, bandits management got in touch with worky and used last year's size. Maybe Craig has put on weight and could not fit into the said kevlars, so on a diet and will return when they fit πŸ˜†
  2. Worky has had lots of people down practicing or on training days, Dan Bewley been several times in the past few weeks just saying like πŸ˜ƒ
  3. Bet Poole would not hold this meeting if a certain Willie Cains was not in the ndl
  4. Bit away but direct train link to Manchester, I'm staying in Preston Central premier inn, Β£50 for Friday nite, train in and out of Manchester, drive in on Saturday then back home to Cumbria. That's if I get / can afford a ticket for 2 days
  5. Unfortunately double booked, got a gig to attend, but will make all/most other ones, hotels booked for southern tour, poole,Ipswich and scunny in August πŸ˜„
  6. Oops πŸ˜… hopefully my disco + app will still work, get it through bt phone/ broadband
  7. Yes if you break it into a monthly cost, tend to agree, but full pass works out around Β£4.50 a meeting with 2/3 a week, so for less than a pint I can watch speedway. TNT are only contracted to show 18 meetings for the season
  8. Try telling Poole that, they had some fantastic crowds last year, and I'm not a Poole fan
  9. https://gofund.me/3b3943d0 Link to worky comets supporters club go-fund me page
  10. Substantial damage caused at GT Tyres Arena due to storm Unfortunately, the Workington Comets GT Tyres Arena has suffered substantial damage from the high winds this weekend causing damage to the pits roofing and structure. As the Supporters Club we are looking to reach out to our amazing fans, sponsors or local businesses for any assistance they can provide at this time. With the 2025 season fast approaching this is a major set back in preparations for the club as they are currently working on improvements to the GT Tyres Arena and the damage caused will create a set back both financially and in time. Anyone who wishes to help out please contact ourselves or the club via social media or by the email address below... info@workingtoncomets.com Thanks, Team WCSC Go fund page set up, will try and sort a link, but look on comets supporters club Facebook for details
  11. As I still have to work for a living and spare time is at a premium, I'll leave the fiddly stuff to the retired people who have nowt else to do, Derek πŸ˜ƒ
  12. Good publicity for the Comets with 25-30 under 16 kids, boys and girls with a GB academy training event, Tom Brennen and Leon Flint helping out. Also a good few minutes on local ITV border news, interviewing couple of the kids, Tom Brennen, Neil Vatcher and Andrew Bain . Maybe someone clever can post a link
  13. Probably correct, would/did struggle round your laal track every week
  14. Wot about the young German lady that you wanted to sign last year πŸ˜› go on sign Celina the average fits
