But.... It is an amateur sport, at least off track... The promoters are not in the entertainment business, they are not marketeers, and definitely not in it "for the money".... They do their best given their limited capabilities to just "provide sone Speedway".... Getting "professionals" in costs money, which means it won't happen.. People have too high an expectation of what the majority of promotes can deliver... You only have to see how they run the sport to know they don't have the required skill set to deliver what some fans see as "basic".... They do their best, and put their money in, and without them there wouldn't be any start time to moan about....

Did they really? I thought the majority wanted to keep Newman. Most of the ones who wanted Gilkes back, seemed to suggest doing it because of morals, rather than Gilkes being stronger? I suppose on Gilkes FB Poole were getting flak, but that's not really unbiased opinions.
