Yes it does look like it was just a bit of publicity, the bit I don’t get is Redknapp does nothing for nothing and if he was going to do something for nothing it wouldn’t be for speedway, so what’s in it for him ? -
Interesting piece in this week's Speedway Star that the Ford's are pushing for 2H and 2A league fixtures for next season. This needs to happen and do away with the BSN series if needed imo. -
Imagine trying to run 1095 meetings now with such a small pool of riders? It would be three riders per team....😄 -

Less can be more. The issue with the British calendar isn’t that there aren’t enough meetings it’s that there is no consistency and often there are huge fixture gaps during the height of summer. If a team was at home once a fortnight and away once a fortnight (alternate weeks) it would encourage more fans to attend away meetings potentially. -
It's beginning to look like the only reason 'Arry's services were acquired was to put a press release out that he (allegedly) watched Speedway on TNT Sports, probably in the hope of extending the TV deal with them... other than that I really can't see what he can bring to the sport.
