For speedway sake let’s hope all teams are built stronger next season. 

Ideal world for me, there'd be 2 divisions of 8+, North & South, home & away x1. Top 4 from each go in to the Elite Play-Offs, home & away x1, top 2 to the one off final at a neutral track. The rest go in to the Craven Shield, home & away x1, top 2 to a one off final at a neutral track. Unfortunately, there just isn't the rider availability, and available days in the week if we could get the number of rider's 

That would be ideal. 

Of course Ipswich were hampered by the protracted takeover and weren’t afforded the same luxury as Belle Vue in having what you’ve admitted to, “long term planning”. It absolutely HAS made things more straightforward for Belle Vue this year it’s plain daft to argue otherwise.    Let’s see if they have it as comfortable next year. I bet they don’t. 

In an ideal world I guess, two would come up from the Championship and then, say someone like Mildenhall, would go into the Champ, leaving two divisions of 8?   Twice home, twice away Plus KO Cup 

I’m not a Belle Vue fan but you have to admire their planning. This team would have been more or less signed up before the end of last season had finished. The fact that other teams had the same opportunity as everyone else in the same time factor and failed to act is down to their own shortcomings.  I have no doubt that the Ipswich situation would have been known well before Xmas and that the new owners have picked this team thinking they would be competitive. You can’t say Belle Vue have won an easier league just because Ipswich were hampered by takeover.  Had Ipswich signed Doyle halfway through and then Bewley gets injured the story would have been different.  It’s not luck that Belle Vue are the best team this season. They would have had a long term strategy and now this is paying off.
