  3. He was a crazy signing for Plymouth last year with all his weekend Polish commitments. Here’s hoping that, for as long as Redcar need him, he’ll be available.

  4. Great move. He’s keen to race in UK and while the Northampton nonsense drags on, it’ll give him a chance to earn some money

  5. The flaw in that plan is that Stock Car racing isn't a 'local sport' and is very much a 'travelling circus'. There are fans in all areas, but the bulk of the fans at Northampton on Saturday night would have been at Kings Lynn the previous Saturday, and will probably be at Scunthorpe next Saturday. I would hazard a guess that on average, only about 10% of the crowd at a stock car meeting live within 50 miles of the track. I do 35-40 meetings a season, but my nearest track is about 35 miles from my home, and most other tracks I visit are around 60-90 miles away, with others further still, such as Taunton at 220 miles, and St Day (Cornwall) and Cowdenbeath (Scotland) both just over 300 miles. F1 stockcars still have a strong following in the North West due to past history, despite there no longer being any tracks up that way, so many fans at their meetings are travelling from North and West Yorkshire, Manchester and Lancashire.

  6. When you take a deep look in to the sport in the grand scheme of things, it actually does ok for itself, with no funding whatsoever and very little sponsorship and media exposer, there are a lot of other sports that get far more of the above and far smaller crowds and are far more in debt but speedway could be so much better than it currently is and that’s down solely to us as a sport

  7. And they were correct. At the time of your whinging that no promoting was going on, no deal was struck! So you were whinging for the sake of it. You’re like an old bloody woman with your constant bleating! Ok, now a deal has been done questions can be asked, but if you take the time to read the press release in the Speedway Star, it’s quite obviously a huge rush job to get everything up and running in time for tapes up. There’s an awful lot to do, and very little time to do it but things ARE going on in the background. You were exactly the same on the Ipswich stuff. Demanding updates and answers on a regular basis, until Richard Coleman explained fully why those updates weren’t forthcoming much to his own frustrations. I bet you were one of those kids that hunted around the house for Christmas presents because you couldn’t wait until the big day to see what you’d actually got 🙄 Calm down ffs.

  8. If it has a market then it’s certainly worth a try, my viewpoint has always been that modern technology is drawing people away from real things like speedway especially the riding side, it always infuriated me when I hear kids or adults saying oh I played this game and it’s graphics are sso good its just like the real thing, no it isn’t it could be further from the real thing, I want to get these people, put them in their gaming chair and stand behind them with a baseball bat and wait till their car or bike goes off the track and then beat them with the baseball bat, that’s what the real thing feels like 😂
