Slick on the inside, heavy on the outside... A perfect track for racing... Those who cannot handle the "deep stuff" can ride the slick inside and those who are more brave, can take those risks and ride the faster dirt line up against the fence ... How Speedway should be...5 points

It's not just a good meeting for Prague, it's a cracking meeting full stop.5 points

On a day of what could of been the boys are rightly proud of there performance. The general thoughts were the d4aw did for us getting gates 2 and 4 on four occasions when 4 was a grave yard. A point here or there could of tipped the balance but most teams could say that. On to the next one with more experience gained5 points

If he hadn't have got injured last week he definitely would have done tonight!4 points

You kinda expect Kelvin not to know his stuff, but to have no one who can explain it on hand is shocking.3 points

Thanks. Absolutely ridiculous. If only every rider faced each other once or something to make it a bit simpler.3 points

Doesn't seem to have been loads of watering and grading tonight.,.. And the racing has been good.... Who would have thought?3 points

This is why I suggest limiting the revs to 10,000 but donβt do it by means of a rev limiter, make it so as the engine itself will not reach 10,000 revs and chuck more dirt on the track, it will encourage more torque mid range engines and do away with pinned throttle racing which in itself is fine but when it goes wrong is catastrophic3 points

Seems like a good effort from GB. Unlucky to miss out on a medal when the bookies had them finishing last. Cairns received some odd criticism when he was selected for the World Cup side, nice to see him finding strong form since then.3 points

I'll just throw this into the mix, could it be... throttle jockeys? I just watched the 2007 Cardiff GP Final on the Speedway360 show and the throttle control that all the riders showed on a 5h1t show of a track was quite unbelievable to watch. With the prominence of Polish Speedway could it be that the latest generation of riders are being brought up on tracks that require the throttle to be pinned to the stopper rather than days gone by where riders were brought up on British tracks that require a bit of technique and throttle control? π€3 points

Many see the scoring system as a joke (including me) but the riders know the score and can ride accordingly. Bartosz has it all sussed out the last few seasons.3 points

Good financial decision those golden racejackets, they'll only end up making 2 of them.2 points

It's my understanding and from a reliable source that Ingram had committed to Plymouth for CL this season in return for them giving him his chance in NDL last season when Scunthorpe weren't interested. A very late change of mind is Scunthorpes gain. What a team he'd have made Plymouth with as good a 1-6 already as there is. Its a shame too as Danny King and Scott nicholls would be great mentors. Scunthorpe appear to be more a set of individuals with one out and out superstar at the level.2 points

In the 90's we were trying to get engines to rev over 10,000rpm. There were still crashes then but not as many serious ones that we are experiencing now. Todays engine can achieve 18000RPM but is restricted to 13500RPM. I'd have to ask the question why would an engine tuner build a motor that cannot be used to its full potential. For me the bore size should be limited which would mean a longer stroke to get to 500cc & in turn this would reduce the RPM to a usable level. The short stroke engine has not made the sport any faster as the list of track records will support only a fraction of a second each time it is reset in most cases & less than a second over a 25 year spread. The short stroke motor has made the sport more about who can hold on the longest & who is prepared to take the biggest risk rather than the best control & skill set2 points

I see that Sir Keir Starmer has written to TNT Sports asking why the Champions League final is not being shown free to air... you're in esteemed company π2 points

Pedersen has done fine in my opinion, got 7 from 4 rides last night at an away track, he isn't a Nagel but he has done ok. Mario should be better but his problem maybe mechanical and his equipment when riding for his country is obviously a lot better.2 points

Is that the same Dan Bewley who fluked a win in Cardiff 2024 when he barely deserved to be in the semis?2 points

There are always people late at football matches, because you see the empty seats gradually filling (and at the start of the second half too). Although, to be fair, a couple of Prem matches were delayed this season because of problems on the roads, which prevented access to the stadium. Plus, speedway is nothing to do with football - or any other sport. It's British speedway tradition for the parade to be part of the meeting, i.e. Ipswich speedway has always advertised the start time as the time of the parade, i.e. 7:30pm and first race at 7:45pm. I really don't see what the problem is - in the list of British speedway's problems, this must be rate in the bottom half a percent.2 points

Update on former Berwick rider Connor Coles posted on social media today. Lovely news from Kirsty Coles about Connor A little update on Connor Connor has now been transferred from Stoke to Derby and has officially started neurological rehabilitation in a specialist centre. Although there is still a long recovery journey ahead, this week has brought some really positive steps forward. Connor is becoming much more aware and engaged, communicating more, remembering conversations and slowly getting more like himself each day. He is now eating food orally again with thickened drinks, has started rehab exercises including the exercise bike, and is walking short distances with support and a frame. Seeing these small milestones after everything he has been through has meant so much to us all. There are still many challenges ahead with speech, swallowing, fatigue and weakness down his left side, and recovery will take time, but we finally feel like Connor is taking important steps in the right direction. Thank you again to everyone for all the continued love, support, messages and kindness shown to Connor and our family2 points
